Product Operations Manager - Client Onboarding Delivery
Job Description
The Product Operations Manager will lead end-to-end client onboarding and implementation delivery for a lending platform, coordinating closely with clients and internal stakeholders to support successful go-lives. The role combines delivery leadership, operational governance, and day-to-day team management to ensure onboarding outcomes meet agreed quality and timing expectations.
Role Overview
Based in Chicago, IL (hybrid), the Product Operations Manager owns the onboarding journey for new Monevo UK clients, from contract signature through go-live. This position serves as the primary delivery point of contact between clients and internal teams, managing onboarding plans, delivery performance, cross-functional workstreams, risk resolution, and reporting on operational metrics. The role also directly manages a small team of Product Operations Analysts (1 to 3), providing coaching and operational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the end-to-end onboarding process for all new Monevo UK clients, from contract signature to successful go-live.
- Serve as the primary delivery lead between clients and internal teams during implementation activity.
- Develop, maintain, and govern onboarding plans, timelines, milestones, and implementation documentation.
- Manage the onboarding pipeline to ensure client implementations are delivered on time and to agreed quality standards.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across Product, Technology, Commercial, Operations, Data, and Compliance functions.
- Identify, manage, and resolve onboarding risks, issues, and dependencies to support successful outcomes.
- Lead regular internal and external implementation meetings to maintain delivery momentum.
- Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted operational point of contact during onboarding.
- Define and continuously improve onboarding processes, governance frameworks, templates, and best practices.
- Create and report on operational KPIs, onboarding performance metrics, and implementation status updates.
- Work with Product and Technology teams to prioritize client requirements and support successful launches.
- Support business growth by scaling onboarding capacity, processes, and delivery models with demand.
- Directly manage and develop a Product Operations Analyst, including coaching, guidance, and performance support.
- Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and development support, ensuring operational activities are prioritized effectively across the team.
Required Qualifications
- Experience managing client onboarding, implementation, delivery, or operational processes in a technology, fintech, or financial services environment.
- Experience working within financial services, fintech, credit marketplaces, or digital lending environments.
- Knowledge of affiliate marketing, lead generation, eligibility, or credit decisioning ecosystems.
- Experience delivering SaaS, API, or platform-based implementations.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and product operating models.
- Experience identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of the credit bureau or consumer lending sectors.
Team and Reporting
This is a hybrid role. Job responsibilities are performed virtually and in person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days per week. The position reports to the VP of Strategic Operations.
Compensation
- Base salary range: USD 90,000 - 135,000 per year.
- Regular, full-time non-sales positions may be eligible for TransUnion’s annual bonus plan.
