Product Operations Specialist- Apparel & Accessories
Job Description
Genesco Inc is seeking a Product Operations Specialist for Apparel & Accessories in Nashville, TN (hybrid).
Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate product sample needs for DTC and Wholesale channels, set priorities, track status, organize assets, and ensure readiness for key meetings and presentations.
- Own and manage cross-functional calendars for merchandising milestones, product launches, market appointments, and marketing initiatives; proactively identify conflicts and drive cross-team alignment.
- Partner with Merchandising to support line planning, product setup, and sales materials, ensuring accuracy and alignment with seasonal strategies.
- Collaborate with Marketing to coordinate product samples for photoshoots and campaigns; review and validate product details used in brand communications.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for business-to-business and uniform programs, overseeing setup, reporting, and ongoing coordination with internal and external partners.
- Coordinate licensing program requirements, ensuring timely submissions, approvals, and adherence to external partner processes and deadlines.
- Develop, maintain, and improve tracking tools and documentation to monitor timelines, deliverables, and overall program performance.
- Oversee organization and operational flow of sample rooms and storage areas to support seasonal inventory movement with accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide guidance and task directions to supporting team members to ensure the effective execution of product operations activities.
- Proactively communicate with cross-functional teams to drive alignment, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery against key milestones.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in merchandising, product operations, marketing coordination, or related areas.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in managing product information and materials.
- Experience with product samples, merchandising processes, or marketing support is preferred.
- Familiarity with licensing or business-to-business programs is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
