Product Operations Specialist | Generalist
Job Description
Ramp is building a growing Product Operations team at the intersection of product execution and the operational realities of scaling a FinTech for large, fast-growing customer needs. In this generalist role, you will own operations for a meaningful product area while also helping Ramp improve internal processes as the company expands. You will connect customer experience to product and engineering teams, translate data into actionable insights, and support launches with reliable documentation and cross-team context.
Based in New York, NY with a hybrid schedule, this full-time position is designed for operators who can drive complex initiatives, troubleshoot issues at the root cause, and partner effectively across product, engineering, design, data, and customer-facing teams.
What you will do
- Serve as the voice of the customer within your product scope, linking day-to-day customer experience to product and engineering teams and shaping thinking beyond what exists today.
- Lead company-wide initiatives that prepare Ramp for larger scale by building predictable, reliable processes for Ramp teams, customers, and partners.
- Develop high-leverage product analytics and data analysis to identify opportunities to improve performance, quality, and product intuitiveness.
- Support flawless product releases by providing documentation, enablement, and shared context across the organization.
- Help drive fast resolution of product bugs and issues by improving tools and processes for incident identification and resolution.
- Manage operational relationships with partners and vendors, including negotiating service agreements and conducting joint performance assessments.
What you bring
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in product management, product operations, or strategy and operations roles, ideally in a fast-growing business.
- Experience delivering fast, successful execution on complex initiatives that require coordination across many teams.
- A consistent track record of seeking root cause to create more durable, higher-impact solutions.
- Ability to use qualitative and quantitative feedback to inform product recommendations.
- Experience working directly with customers or clients through feedback requests and/or user research interviews.
- Experience leveling up others by providing constructive feedback to junior team members.
- Strong written and verbal communication, including tailoring messages to different audiences.
- Comfort translating data into insights and action, including experience querying SQL.
- Ability to operate in ambiguity and chart your own path.

- Salary: USD 128,000 - 180,000 per year

- Spend Management: core spend product including card issuance, reimbursements, and travel & entertainment
- Procurement: new purchase requests, approvals, vendors, savings, and price intelligence
- Intelligence: reporting, savings, and price intelligence for better financial decisions
- Bill Payments: invoice management, accounts payable, and B2B payment capabilities
- Risk: underwriting and financial products determining which businesses to approve and how to manage risk
- Growth: onboarding, activation and retention products to help customers succeed on the Ramp platform
- Accounting: intelligence in the accounting platform to save finance teams time and money
