Job Description

MSX International invites a data-driven Product Owner to join onsite in Dearborn, MI. You will focus on measuring the performance of digital customer experiences and turning data into actionable insights that steer the CX product roadmap. This role places you at the center of cross-functional collaboration, offering opportunities to influence decisions, work with advanced analytics tools, and shape how customers interact with digital features.

Responsibilities

  • Define and monitor success metrics: Collaborate with Product Owners to establish KPIs and success measures for new and existing digital features, tracking progress over time.
  • Behavioral analysis: Use product analytics tools (such as Amplitude) to conduct deep dives into user journeys, retention patterns, and conversion funnels.
  • Data synthesis: Translate complex BigQuery datasets into clear, visual, and actionable insights that influence the product roadmap and prioritization.
  • Tracking strategy: Work with engineering and product teams to ensure robust data collection by defining tagging requirements and instrumentation logic.
  • Insight delivery: Serve as the CX team's data consultant, providing regular reporting and ad-hoc analyses to verify that launched features meet customer needs.
  • Experimentation: Support A/B testing and experimentation frameworks to statistically validate product hypotheses.
  • Voice of the data: Represent the objective voice of the customer through quantitative evidence in stakeholder meetings and planning sessions.

Requirements

  • Technical foundation: Ability to quickly understand a domain and identify trends and opportunities within it.
  • Analytical and communication skills: Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication abilities with adaptability to different audiences.
  • Comfort with ambiguity: Thrive in environments with ambiguity and bring order to complex situations.
  • Relationship-building: Proven track record of building strong working relationships, influencing teams, and earning the trust of senior stakeholders.
  • Experience: 3+ years in Product Analytics, Digital Analytics, or Data Science focused on user behavior and digital product performance.
  • SQL proficiency: Advanced SQL skills, including crafting complex queries, joining disparate datasets, and validating data in BigQuery or similar warehouses.
  • Analytics tooling: Hands-on experience with Amplitude, Mixpanel, Heap, or Google Analytics 4 to track event-based user behavior.
  • Analytical mindset: Ability to move beyond what the data says to why it matters and what actions the business should take next.

  • Product management perspective: Experience within a Product Management framework or a Product-Led organization is a significant plus.
  • Data visualization: Experience building automated dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or Looker to democratize data for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project management: Familiarity with JIRA, Rally, or similar Agile project management tools.
  • Domain expertise: Background in Automotive Customer Service, Dealership Operations, or Vehicle Servicing, including knowledge of how customers book and receive vehicle maintenance.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt communication style for technical engineers and non-technical senior leadership.
