Job Description
The Remote Product Owner role sits in Corpay's Corporate Payments division, focused on backlog prioritization and delivering measurable outcomes within a Scrum framework. The position translates business goals and customer needs into actionable work and acts as the accountable owner for translating intent into development.
Responsibilities
- Acts as the sole accountable owner for translating intent, linking strategy, customer problems, and execution in close collaboration with Engineering and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Convert business goals and customer needs into well-defined backlog items that the team can act on.
- Tie each backlog item to a defined outcome and measurable value.
- Keep a well-prioritized backlog that is continuously refined.
- Act as the final decision maker on scope, priorities, and trade-offs.
- Balance near-term delivery with longer-term product outcomes.
- Ensure delivered work achieves the intended business and customer outcomes.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding features and design.
- Align the team around priorities, scope, and expected outcomes.
- Drive clarity and accountability across the delivery lifecycle.
- Collaborate with the horizontal team to align workflow with priorities and release dates.
- Play a frontline role in building products under an AI-First strategy, from prototyping to execution.
- Partner with engineering to structure work for effective execution and validation through AI code generation.
- Align priorities across Product, Engineering, and Business partners.
- Manage expectations and trade-offs to maximize delivered value.
- Validate release readiness in collaboration with Engineering.
- Monitor progress against defined success measures and adjust as needed.
- Track delivery metrics to support ongoing improvement.
- Experience in AI-DLC.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of experience in Product Owner, Product Management, or equivalent roles.
- Proven ability to translate business needs into structured backlog items.
- Experience in Commercial Card, Expense Management, and API integrations.
- Experience in mobile application development.
