Product Owner
Job Description
AssistRx, LLC is hiring a Product Owner to help maximize the value delivered by a Scrum team in a fast-moving product environment. The role connects product strategy and stakeholder needs to an actionable, prioritized backlog, while driving sprint-level execution details from discovery through delivery.
This position is based in Florida (onsite) and offers a yearly salary range of USD 99,550 - 124,437. You will partner across customer-facing teams, pharma customers, engineering, and the Product Manager to deliver measurable outcomes.
What you’ll do
- Own and maintain the product backlog by keeping items clearly defined, prioritized, and ready for sprint planning, with at least two sprints of groomed work available at all times
- Manage backlog composition by defining epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics
- Ensure engineering teams have clear requirements and context to deliver high-quality releases, including a rule that no story over 8 points enters a sprint without being decomposed
- Write user stories that translate business requirements and customer needs into well-defined acceptance criteria
- Make real-time prioritization decisions during the sprint, balancing customer urgency, technical debt, and strategic objectives
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Accept or reject completed work based on acceptance criteria and the team’s definition of done
- Collaborate with the Product Manager to translate the product roadmap into backlog items
- Engage internal stakeholders, client services, and pharma customers to gather requirements and validate solutions
- Work with the Tech Lead to assess technical feasibility, identify dependencies, and manage scope
- Own and maintain parameter documentation in Confluence, defining what the platform does and what delivery teams can configure without engineering involvement
- Communicate sprint goals, progress, and release plans transparently, including owning status updates back to requestors
- Track product performance, adoption, and feedback to support continuous improvement
What you bring
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Strong understanding of Agile principles, the Scrum framework, and backlog management tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps
- Experience in healthcare technology, specialty pharmacy, or patient services platforms is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to make decisive prioritization trade-offs under pressure
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate between technical and business stakeholders
- CSPO certification or equivalent certification preferred
- Familiarity with Salesforce, data integration, or pharmacy workflow systems is a plus
- For net new product development, more technical expertise is required, and PO bootcamp completion is mandatory before go-live
