Product Owner - Data & Analytics

Talent Management Plus, Inc. is seeking a Product Owner for Data & Analytics to lead the analytics ecosystem, shape the strategic direction, and oversee governance and backlog prioritization in line with business objectives. You will guide the BI Analyst team and partner with Data Engineering to turn data into actionable insights that support growth. This hybrid role is based in Addison, Illinois, offering a blend of on-site collaboration and remote work.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the enterprise analytics strategy and a multi-year roadmap
• Establish Power BI reporting and visualization standards
• Champion data governance, data quality, and consistency across the organization
• Lead Agile delivery, Scrum ceremonies, and backlog prioritization
• Foster cross-functional partnerships with FP&A, Strategy, and business owners
• Advance analytics maturity across the enterprise
• Collaborate with leadership to align analytics initiatives with strategic programs
• Develop and manage KPIs, dashboards, and insights that support enterprise goals
• Ensure the quality and consistency of enterprise reporting and data
• Guide business teams in adopting new analytics capabilities
• Chair a Data & Analytics Steering Committee to prioritize data investments
• Coach the BI Analyst team responsible for reporting, dashboards, UX, and insights
• Maintain alignment between reporting, engineering, governance, and stakeholders
• Build a high-performance analytics culture and define team goals
• Manage third-party vendor partnerships for analytics delivery
• Oversee the BI & Analytics budget and capacity planning
• Drive continuous improvement in development processes, automation, testing, and documentation
• Establish and lead the organization’s data governance program
• Define data standards, data quality policies, and metadata practices
• Partner with business units to strengthen ownership of master data domains
• Support scalable, governed data models for enterprise-wide reporting
• Improve data trust, lineage, and transparency across the organization
• Develop analytics insights aimed at growth, margin, customer experience, and efficiency
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on analytics opportunities and impact
• Manage large programs or projects from a tactical level while guiding sponsorship
• Influence effectively in a matrixed environment and provide clarity in ambiguity
• Adapt communication methods to meet evolving business needs

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in analytics, BI, or data engineering
• 2+ years leading analytics teams
• Expert Power BI experience including DAX, semantic models, and visualization
• Experience with Databricks, SQL, and Lakehouse ETL/ELT pipelines
• Experience serving as product owner for analytics or data-driven initiatives
• Strong Agile/Scrum leadership experience
• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field

Pay

Salary: USD 125,000 - 155,000 per year
