Job Description

Support the delivery of next generation digital cardiology capabilities by translating business, regulatory, and technical inputs into an Agile backlog.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Technical Architects to evaluate solution design and implementation options
  • Own and manage the product backlog, continuously ordering and prioritizing so 1–2 sprints of backlog are kept in a ready state
  • Apply Agile and Scrum methodologies within a regulated delivery model
  • Define and maintain a Definition of Done that includes quality, security, documentation, and regulatory compliance needs
  • Partner with Product Managers, application leaders, and domain leaders to shape and communicate a product vision and roadmap aligned to business, clinical, and regulatory objectives
  • Balance innovation, delivery speed, and technical excellence with healthcare compliance, data privacy, and patient safety requirements
  • Contribute to short-term and quarterly roadmaps, including MVP definitions and release planning
  • Run Voice of the Customer (VOC) activities with customers and stakeholders: gather requirements, support refinement, and incorporate product feedback
  • Conduct customer, stakeholder, and clinical interviews to create and maintain personas and workflow models
  • Influence stakeholders using data-driven discussions, persuasion, and synthesized recommendations
  • Communicate regulatory constraints, technical trade-offs, and downstream impacts clearly and effectively
  • Work with Product Managers and other Product Owners to break down capabilities into usable user stories
  • Convert ambiguous or unstructured requests into actionable user stories and work units with acceptance criteria
  • Prioritize backlog items using business value, customer needs, regulatory risk, and technical dependencies
  • Increase depth of understanding of the technology stack and its effects on scalability, security, and compliance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a STEM-related field
  • Minimum 5 years of engineering or product development work experience
  • Minimum 2 years as a Product Owner
  • Minimum 2 years delivering software products in Agile/Scrum teams
  • Flexibility with work hours and willingness to partner with and accommodate global teams and schedules
  • Hybrid schedule required: three days per week on-site at the GE HealthCare office in Waukesha, Wisconsin
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; GE HealthCare will not sponsor employment visas for this opening

Desired Characteristics

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a STEM-related field
  • 6+ years of engineering or product development work experience
  • 5 years in regulated healthcare industry experience with medical device development with Quality Systems
  • Demonstrated communication skills to interface with engineers and cross-functional teams with confidence and clarity
  • CSPO (Scrum Alliance) or PSPO (Scrum.org) certification
  • Strong knowledge of software design and coding principles
  • Initiative to explore alternative technologies and solution approaches
  • Ability to break down complex problems, document problem statements, and estimate effort
  • Anticipates downstream impacts and adjusts influencing strategy accordingly
  • Clearly articulates decision rationale, risks, and implications
