Job Description

The Product Owner for Product Digital Sales at Royal Caribbean Group leads the conception, development, implementation, and ongoing operation of web-based products and applications for the trade channel. The role is accountable for the travel agent website CruisingPowercom and the marketing and selling tools that support it, with a focus on improving adoption, engagement, design, user experience, content, and the feature set.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the B2B product roadmap for the trade website CruisingPower com.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of designated electronic products, including user experience design and quality assurance (QA).
  • Initiate new product development and manage new content, including copy assets and multi-media, while overseeing site navigation and graphics development.
  • Develop the creative and content strategy for designated web pages by collaborating with Marketing Global Offices/Markets, IT, Sales Revenue Management, Trade Support & Service, and vendors.
  • Coordinate cross-team participation in content and feature development, including identifying and documenting operational impacts.
  • Provide leadership support to the Web Content Producer.
  • Support content management for CruisingPower and its associated tools where applicable.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key partners to capitalize on site growth opportunities, trends, training, and system optimization.
  • Coordinate with market research focus groups and gather research as requested or required.
  • Design and gather site feedback using surveys.
  • Reinforce communication with the IT Portfolio Manager and 3rd party technology partners.
  • Coordinate product and project launch initiatives including email, print, digital, and social media.
  • Ensure user acceptance testing (UAT) and oversee overall support and maintenance in partnership with IT third-party partners and other vendors.
  • Interpret marketing direction to align branding and user experience.
  • Drive accountability for product line development expansion and termination.
  • Support the vision, goals, objectives, and key requirements for international markets.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a professional and analytical role is required.
  • 2 years management experience in a comparable Internet-driven or technology development environment or industry are required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiating skills are required.
  • Must be a highly organized self-starter capable of managing multiple concurrent work streams with high-quality deliverables and minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities successfully.
  • Ability to work in a complex matrix environment with rapidly changing priorities and tight deadlines is required.
  • Ability to assess, interpret, and draw conclusions from complex business data, and clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Ability to negotiate successfully and resolve conflict.
  • Organized, self-motivated, adaptable to constant change, with a strategic and creative mindset.
  • Clear, concise, professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to collaborate on strategies and craft tactical solutions to achieve strategic goals.
  • Ability to document strategy and tactics implementation plans, metrics success factors, and contingency plans is required.
  • Ability to propose metrics to measure effectiveness of tactics and relate data in a way that supports product offering assessment and enhancement.
  • Strong computer skills including web applications, MS Office, and sales database applications, with extensive knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, and Word to create and deliver executive-level presentations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Marketing or business.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce distribution models.
