Senior AI Product Owner
Job Description
International Motors, LLC is transforming from a traditional supplier of trucks, buses, and engines into a provider of complete and sustainable transport solutions. As part of that shift, the company is investing heavily in digital capabilities, data products, and AI-enabled tools that help dealers and service teams operate with smarter, more proactive workflows. In the MyInternational Dealer ecosystem, this role owns backlog and delivery priorities for AI use cases designed to improve service workflows, recommendations, and decision support.
You will work as part of a cross-functional agile team inside the Dealer Digitalization organization, collaborating closely with engineering, UX, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver production-ready AI capabilities. This is a hands-on product delivery position with no direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the backlog for assigned AI use cases within the MyInternational Dealer ecosystem, supporting the broader AI product roadmap.
- Make day-to-day product decisions for assigned initiatives, including requirements, feature priorities, user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature acceptance.
- Align larger priorities, dependencies, and trade-offs with senior product leadership and the broader product team.
- Understand dealer workflows, service processes, and operational pain points to identify and prioritize practical AI opportunities.
- Partner with users, product owners, UX, engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to clarify needs and translate them into execution-ready work.
- Define how AI insights, recommendations, and workflow guidance are surfaced, explained, and acted upon within dealer workflows, contributing directly during the building phase.
- Ensure assigned work is delivery-ready by maintaining clear requirements, prioritized stories, dependencies, and acceptance criteria.
- Drive capabilities from discovery through pilot and production, including MVP definition, feedback collection, adoption tracking, and continuous iteration.
- Track product adoption, user feedback, and business impact, sharing accountability for outcomes with the broader cross-functional team.
- Prioritize work based on business impact, user value, feasibility, risk, and speed to learning.
- Contribute to technical and data discussions, including integrations, data dependencies, data quality, transparency, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop design (with engineering and architecture leaders owning technical direction).
- Clarify requirements, make timely trade-offs within scope, and help remove delivery blockers across stakeholders.
- Contribute to a culture that values curiosity, collaboration, pragmatism, accountability, and continuous learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of technical project/program management experience or Master’s degree and at least 3 years of technical project/program management experience or 8 years of technical project/program management experience.
- At least 1 year of lead experience.
- Experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role delivering digital products in complex, workflow-driven environments.
- Ability to independently manage assigned product initiatives, including backlog ownership, prioritization, requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature acceptance.
- Experience building and delivering data-driven, automation, analytics, or AI-enabled capabilities with practical adoption and measurable business value.
- Strong product thinking and day-to-day decision-making, with judgment to escalate broader priorities, trade-offs, and risks.
- Ability to understand user workflows and pain points and translate them into effective product requirements and experiences.
- Experience collaborating with UX, engineering, architecture, data science, and business stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.
- Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts, data dependencies, model limitations, and practical considerations for deploying AI into business workflows, with hands-on experience required.
- Comfort with modern product practices, including MVP definition, experimentation, metrics, feedback loops, iterative delivery, and adoption tracking.
- Familiarity with Palantir Foundry (or similar data and AI platform) is helpful; deep hands-on engineering expertise is not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for clarifying needs, documenting decisions, surfacing trade-offs, and maintaining alignment.
- A proactive, curious, and solution-oriented mindset, with willingness to learn the MyInternational Dealer ecosystem and grow AI product experience.
- Qualified candidates (excluding current employees) must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis to work in the United States (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee). The company does not anticipate providing employment-related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status).
