Job Description
Senior Associate Product Owner for Client Onboarding on the Wallets team in New York, NY, accountable for translating complex requirements into product outcomes and guiding cross-functional delivery of API enabled payments features for client onboarding; salary range USD 99,750 - 150,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Clarify and evolve requirements for API enabled payments features, translating business needs into precise specifications for engineering partners.
- Own and manage the roadmap for assigned workstreams, aligning priorities with customer impact, risk posture, and business value.
- Lead cross functional stakeholder engagement across technology, operations, compliance, and business units to align on scope, timelines, and trade offs.
- Set and run project management cadences such as status reporting, dependency tracking, and milestone governance to maintain momentum in client onboarding with accountability.
- Synthesize data, user research, and market signals to identify product gaps and propose solutions backed by quantitative and qualitative evidence.
- Collaborate with technology teams to evaluate API architecture decisions, ensuring designs support scalability, security, and interoperability.
- Coordinate working sessions, steering committees, and executive briefings, delivering concise materials that communicate progress and surface decisions clearly.
- Monitor post launch product performance metrics and payment transaction indicators, identify optimization opportunities, and escalate risks proactively.
- Coordinate across program management processes to ensure deliverables align with portfolio governance standards and reporting requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies and advocating tooling or workflow enhancements that accelerate delivery.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of product management experience, with proven ownership of a roadmap from ideation to delivery.
- Ability to influence and manage senior stakeholders across technology, business, and operations without direct authority.
- Working knowledge of modern API concepts, including REST, webhooks, and API gateway patterns to engage credibly with engineering teams.
- Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple concurrent workstreams, tracking dependencies, and upholding governance standards.
- Experience creating executive level written communications, presentations, and program status reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in business, technology, engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Excellent verbal communication skills to facilitate alignment in cross functional forums and large group settings.
