Senior Data Management Professional - Data Product Owner - Entities

This onsite role in New York, NY leads the strategy, development, and integration of Bloomberg's Private Companies data model with non-foundational datasets to support client workflows across research, investment, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own the comprehensive strategy and roadmap for Bloomberg's Private Companies data products, with emphasis on combining non-foundational datasets into usable offerings.
• Articulate a clear vision for a fit-for-purpose private company data model, continuously aligning it with evolving client workflows in research, investment, and compliance.
• Investigate and validate use cases in private markets, identifying opportunities to connect company data with alternative data, ESG metrics, financials, news, and other emerging datasets.
• Lead discovery and prioritization efforts to assess dataset needs, including structure, coverage, transparency, and delivery options.
• Translate client and stakeholder feedback into actionable requirements and establish acceptance criteria for integrations and enhancements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design data linkages and delivery models that maximize cross-product usability.
• Monitor health metrics of data products, including completeness, coverage, linkages, and adoption of workflows.
• Advocate for the value of integrated private company data across Bloomberg and raise awareness of its role in client-facing workflows.
• Maintain awareness of trends in private markets, data integration, and emerging non-traditional datasets.

Requirements

• At least four years of experience working with financial or private markets data.
• Robust understanding of private company research workflows and the lifecycle of private data from creation to consumption.
• Proven track record as a Product Owner or Product Manager for data platforms or large-scale datasets.
• Ability to articulate a product vision and communicate it effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience building product roadmaps, managing backlogs, and leading cross-functional delivery in Agile or hybrid settings.
• A data-driven approach, comfortable using metrics and KPIs to evaluate product performance and inform prioritization.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience partnering across Product, Engineering, and Data teams.
