Senior Product Manager
Job Description
General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a remote Senior Product Manager to drive strategy, manage backlogs, and lead cross-functional delivery within an Agile federal program. This role centers on turning stakeholder needs into tangible features, coordinating with engineering, compliance, and business units, and continuously refining solutions in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment. The position emphasizes stakeholder engagement, data-driven decision making, and the advancement of Lean Agile practices across teams.
Responsibilities
- Articulate the product vision, set the strategy, and chart a roadmap aligned with agency objectives and program goals.
- Prioritize features and refine the backlog to stay aligned with the broader organizational strategy.
- Serve as the primary bridge among business stakeholders, customers, and Agile teams, translating strategic requirements into actionable epics, features, and user stories.
- Own the product backlog, prioritizing items by business value, compliance needs, and customer impact.
- Lead product planning sessions and provide clear direction on goals and priorities.
- Maintain ongoing engagement with stakeholders and users to validate solutions and drive iterative improvements.
- Track performance with metrics and analytics, adjusting the strategy to maximize value delivery.
- Advocate Lean Agile practices across teams to raise the organization's Agile maturity.
- Identify risks and dependencies early, proactively removing blockers to keep delivery on track.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration across engineering, compliance, security, and business units to ensure alignment.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Jira to manage backlogs, plan sprints, and drive delivery.
- Document product and user journeys clearly for stakeholders and update documentation as the product evolves.
- Lead strategic initiatives that deliver value and drive organizational improvements.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to support project success and uncover new opportunities.
- Conduct user and market research to inform the product vision, objectives, and feature set.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Seven or more years of product management experience within an Agile environment.
- A demonstrated history of delivering complex enterprise solutions.
- Solid knowledge of Agile methodologies and best practices.
- Experience creating product documentation.
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and collaboration capabilities.
- Ability to translate business objectives into well-defined epics, features, and stories.
- Excellent written and verbal communication for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision making.
- Experience developing proofs of concept and presenting ideas to stakeholders.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust 6C clearance.

Salary and Benefits Information
The anticipated annual pay range for this role is $182,750 to $247,250. This is not a guaranteed figure; compensation is determined by factors such as experience, location, and contractual requirements, and may fall outside the stated range.
