Job Description

LiveKit is hiring its first Senior Product Operations Manager to build the product team’s operating system and make delivery faster and clearer as the org scales in an engineering culture.

Responsibilities

  • Run the product team’s operating cadence across planning cycles, reviews, and recurring updates
  • Own the planning calendar: define purpose, determine who should attend, and standardize inputs and outputs
  • Ensure decisions and follow-ups are captured and visible to the right stakeholders
  • Continuously retire or reshape rituals that no longer earn their time
  • Own the roadmap as a system, structured for multiple audiences (engineering teams, leadership, sales)
  • Keep the roadmap current so it becomes the single place to understand what is being built and its status
  • Lead product team goal-setting using measurable goals tied to a clear source of truth
  • Track goal progress through the quarter
  • With the data team, own reporting the product team and leadership rely on, and flag drift early
  • Maintain lightweight shared standards across the full product lifecycle, including problem briefs, launch readiness, product stage definitions, and release notes
  • With marketing, run the internal side of launches to ensure each ships with documentation, pricing, and GTM readiness
  • Own customer insight workflows that keep customers close to the product team
    • Maintain a research repository people use
    • Run a continuous pipeline of customer conversations with sales and success
    • Synthesize signals from sales, support, surveys, and deals, and deliver insights to the PMs who need them
  • Own onboarding for new PMs, ongoing training, and the team community of practice; help shape PM hiring and leveling
  • Define how the product team uses tools across roadmapping, analytics, and AI; ensure PMs get real leverage
  • Maintain a pulse on where the team is blocked, bring recommendations for what to fix next, and partner with the head of product to improve the product org every quarter

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience, including at least 3 years in product operations or a closely related role (chief of staff to a product leader, product program management, product strategy and operations) supporting a product team
  • Designed a product operating cadence from scratch at a scaling company, not just maintained an existing one
  • Measures impact by changes for the people you support, not by volume of process
  • Writes clearly and can make complex topics legible
  • Strong writing ability
  • Data fluent: comfortable defining metrics, working in BI tools, and distinguishing trustworthy from untrustworthy numbers (SQL is a plus)
  • Technical enough for a developer company and credible with the engineers building the product
  • Influences without authority; works because it is useful, not mandated
  • AI-native: uses AI tools heavily and can help others do the same
  • Fast learner, frequently adopting new tools and techniques (including AI)
  • Prefers removing meetings over adding them

Technologies

  • SQL

Benefits

  • Contribute to open source alongside world-class engineers
  • Competitive salary and equity package
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits
  • Flexible vacation policy

Nice to Have

  • Product operations experience at a developer tools, API, infrastructure, or AI company
  • Ran quarterly planning or OKRs for a product organization
  • Built a research repository or a customer recruiting program for B2B research
  • Built a PM onboarding program or career ladder
  • Worked with go-to-market teams on launch readiness and product stage definitions
  • Experience as a product manager
