Senior Product Owner
Job Description
The Senior Product Owner will own a meaningful product area for DealerSocket CRM at Solera, shaping how dealership teams connect with customers through voice, text, video, and email. This role combines product decision-making with the detail needed to deliver, launch, and drive adoption across cross-team and vendor boundaries.
What You Will Own
- Help shape how dealership teams connect with customers through voice, text, video, and email within DealerSocket CRM.
- Own team-level backlog prioritization, requirements, acceptance criteria, and product launch readiness.
- Coordinate release readiness, rollout guidance, and enablement, using adoption, reliability, customer feedback, and support insights to guide improvements after launch.
Core Responsibilities
- Understand dealer needs by using sales engagements, conversations with dealership users, customer feedback, and product data to identify problems worth solving.
- Shape practical solutions by translating complex workflows into prototypes, requirements, and testable acceptance criteria, including important edge cases.
- Make informed decisions on priorities based on customer value, business impact, reliability, dependencies, and delivery effort, and explain tradeoffs while recommending simpler approaches when appropriate.
- Own the experience across vendor boundaries by validating integrations for dealership users, clarifying responsibilities between systems, and following issues through to resolution with engineering and providers.
- Think through the complete workflow, including scenarios such as customer call-backs, conversation ownership changes, and salesperson movement between desktop and mobile.
- Build trust into the product by partnering with Legal, Privacy, Compliance, and technical teams to incorporate applicable communications and customer-data requirements.
- Deliver and learn by coordinating launch readiness and then using measurable signals to refine what comes next.
- Work directly with a team of six developers and partner with the Senior Director of Product on roadmap direction and investment decisions.
- Learn directly from dealership users through sales engagements and travel to the U.S.

- Judgment to recommend priorities, resolve cross-team dependencies, and explain tradeoffs without requiring every next step to be prescribed.
- Strong workflow discovery and requirements skills, including prototypes, process flows, and testable acceptance criteria.
- Practical understanding of REST APIs and webhooks, comfortable discussing system behavior and technical tradeoffs (coding not required).
- Experience working across engineering, business teams, and external technology providers.
