Sr. Manager, IT Product Owner
Job Description
As the Senior Manager, IT Product Owner, you will lead product strategy and execution for money movement and asset transfer platform capabilities at Charles Schwab. This role focuses on turning business goals and customer needs into delivery-ready product increments and coordinating cross-functional teams through discovery, implementation, adoption, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Own
- Own the product vision, roadmap, priorities, and delivery for money movement and asset transfer platform capabilities.
- Translate business strategy and customer needs into clear product increments that enhance payments, transfers, account funding, scheduling, verification, and transaction experiences.
- Maintain a delivery-ready backlog, assess operational and technical impacts, and guide capabilities from discovery through implementation and adoption.
- Balance customer value, operational efficiency, risk, technical sustainability, and delivery commitments while aligning stakeholders and communicating progress.
How You’ll Work With Teams
- Partner with business, operations, design, engineering, architecture, data, controls, and Agile teams to define requirements and manage dependencies.
- Coordinate across multiple workstreams, providing clarity and direction while navigating ambiguity.
Key Requirements
- US work authorization: Must be authorized to work in the US without Sponsorship.
- Product management or Product Owner experience supporting complex cross-functional products, platforms, or transformation initiatives.
- Proven ability to define product vision, roadmaps, outcomes, priorities, and delivery-ready backlogs.
- Strong requirements and story-writing skills, including acceptance criteria, use cases, workflows, and process documentation.
- Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.

Preferred Qualifications
- Background with platform products, APIs, shared services, event-driven integrations, or enterprise capabilities.
- Knowledge of money movement, payments, ACH, transfers, banking, brokerage, retirement, lending, treasury, or transaction-processing platforms.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery practices and tools, including Jira and Confluence.
- Experience helping multiple customer or employee channels adopt shared platform services; bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical background preferred.

Compensation
- USD 129,000 - 172,000 per year
