Sr Product Manager
Job Description
Imperative Care is hiring a Sr Product Manager for an on-site, full-time role based in Campbell, California focused on medical devices for stroke and other vascular diseases.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive user-needs mappings by defining the problem, desired output, and solution boundaries; mentor others on the approach.
- Lead projects across the product lifecycle, including market and physician research to form market and product requirements; mentor others on the process.
- Partner with Marketing to support downstream efforts such as product launch management, sales tools and training, product presentations, product/market analysis, forecasting, and sales support.
- Review customer requirements, market dynamics, and regulatory pathways; develop recommendations for product enhancements and potential new product opportunities.
- Collaborate with physicians, clinicians, sales force, and R&D to assess market needs and recommend data-driven product enhancements and developments; participate in design meetings.
- Analyze voice-of-customer inputs from end users and the sales force to inform changes and product roadmap prioritization.
- Develop the product’s core value proposition.
- Allocate resources and action items in a timely manner.
- Support the sales workforce by educating and training physicians and hospital staff on technical matters related to Imperative Care devices.
- Provide management updates on project status and critical issues impacting completion.
- Help execute activities at relevant scientific and technical meetings and conferences.
- Ensure product documentation is complete, accurate, and timely; manage correspondence and distribution; implement process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 8+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education/training and experience; engineering degree preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and marketing tools.
- Extensive product management experience in medical devices and/or pharmaceuticals.
- Ability to lead and influence decisions and actions across the organization and with external stakeholders, independent of reporting structure.
- Willingness and ability to mentor others on product management best practices; assist leadership with process design and improvement.
- Strong independent working style with sound judgment, initiative, and analytical skills to deliver short- and long-range project outcomes; ability to anticipate needs with minimal direction.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly understand technical product aspects.
- Strong teamwork skills with flexibility and adaptability under pressure.
- Self-motivated and self-directed; thrives in multitasking and fast-paced environments with frequent task switching.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills; ability to maintain strong working relationships and handle sensitive/confidential matters appropriately.
- Above-average written and verbal communication skills, including expertise in developing marketing and training materials and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to travel 30–40%.

- USD 163,000–179,000 per year
