Job Description

Boston Scientific is hiring a Senior Digital Product Owner to lead digital innovation within its Atrial Fibrillation Solutions program, supporting Referring Physicians. The role owns product outcomes across planning, discovery, execution, and release coordination in a cross-functional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand product vision and strategy.
  • Execute the product roadmap and drive technology solutions that deliver measurable value.
  • Define, refine, and continually align success metrics with business measures of success.
  • Refine the opportunity space through continuous discovery habits to uncover unmet user needs, including leading discovery, framing, and exploratory activities aligned with product strategy.
  • Collaborate with design and development to evaluate multiple solution paths, including custom solutions and 3rd-party partner solutions, weighing pros and cons.
  • Make product feature decisions using both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Write user stories and acceptance criteria to guide development, and work with the team to size effort, assess feasibility and risks, prioritize stories to match business priorities, and manage dependencies.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage releases of custom software to support timely, high-quality delivery, including feature development, bug fixes, performance improvements, and user experience updates. Ensure releases land on time, within scope, and to the appropriate quality standards.
  • Continuously monitor feature effectiveness and identify improvements informed by data and feedback.
  • Promote innovation by staying current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and product development best practices.
  • Support the organization in adopting user-centered design, agile methodologies, and continuous discovery practices.
  • Encourage experimentation and collaboration to test and implement solutions that optimize referring strategy and drive business value, with scope to innovate in the evolving medical device market.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in digital product management, product design, or product engineering with a focus on discovery, scoping, and delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to align and coach non-digital stakeholders and build strong relationships.
  • Proven ability to lead in a team environment, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm, commitment, and trust.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a natural curiosity to seek understanding, surface insights, challenge the status quo, and anticipate future customer needs.
  • Demonstrated success delivering major products with expected outcomes, including coordinating high-quality product releases.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit to operate independently with minimal direction.
  • Expert proficiency with agile development methodologies, lean startup practices, and design thinking methodologies.
  • Professional maturity that supports an open, challenging, stimulating, and positive environment.
  • Innovative mindset and ability to sustain product culture using strong product management practices and thought leadership.

Location and Work Model

Maple Grove, MN (hybrid). Employees are expected to be in the Maple Grove, MN office at least three days per week.

Compensation

USD 102,100 to 194,000 per year.

Relocation and Visa Sponsorship

  • Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience evaluating build vs. buy decisions and recommending paths forward by assessing strategic fit, cost implications, and long-term sustainability.
  • Experience in marketing analytics, using data to drive customer engagement and optimize product strategy.
  • Proficiency working with large healthcare data sets, including data from Komodo Health and IQVIA, to generate insights that inform decisions.
  • Proficiency working with Salesforce and Snowflake.
