As the Senior Product Owner for the ERMS legacy systems, you will lead agile product ownership, engage with stakeholders across multiple functions, and drive improvements that align with IT roadmaps and budgets.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders across upstream and downstream systems and functional areas to capture business priorities and how legacy applications and workflows support them.
- Lead strategic stakeholder engagement for designated areas, demonstrating deep knowledge of business processes and system constraints.
- Apply and promote agile best practices across the team to maintain and enhance legacy systems, balancing stability with incremental improvements.
- Make prioritization decisions for the assigned product backlog and plan releases.
- Document stories and epics that accurately capture business needs.
- Refine and maintain product backlogs, prioritize user stories, and define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and product requirements.
- Collaborate with architects to translate business strategies into practical solutions within existing system limitations while identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Lead the delivery of scalable solutions that align with IT roadmaps and portfolio budgets.
- Coordinate with Operations to ensure legacy systems continue to support required functions without disruption.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and training initiatives for updates or transitions involving legacy systems.
- Contribute to technology and process transformation for US and Bermuda operations.
- Measure product performance and value delivery using KPIs and metrics tied to business outcomes.
- Ensure prioritization aligns with IT investment roadmaps and budgetary goals.
- Partner with Product Managers, Architects, and Enterprise teams to maintain conceptual and technical integrity across the portfolio.
- Champion customer-centric outcomes by prioritizing features that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Ensure product changes adhere to regulatory and compliance standards.
- Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and industry best practices to inform product strategy.
Requirements
- Five or more years of insurance industry experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in technology or operations.
- Ability to manage multiple, multifaceted stakeholders.
- Solution-oriented, creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and product management practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for backlog management and documentation.
- Ability to translate strategic goals into actionable business requirements.
- Highly ethical, professional, and trustworthy with a commitment to compliance and integrity.

Pay Information
The base salary offered will reflect compensable factors such as education, experience, training, licensure, and location. The national average salary range for a Product Owner is USD 92,880 - 127,710 per year with a 15% incentive, while the Senior Product Owner range is USD 116,080 - 159,610 per year with a 25% incentive.
