Agile Product Owner

This onsite Agile Product Owner role in Hoover, Alabama represents business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, refine and communicate needs so delivery teams can build effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with sponsors, stakeholders, and Information Technology to map and document key business processes, understanding the needs, measures, risks and controls for the improvement area
• Partners with management and other stakeholders to validate business strategy, vision and customer needs
• Works independently on medium to large complexity initiatives, or supports a Senior or Lead on larger efforts
• Coordinates with business process owners to manage and track benefits, adoption and operational risks
• Oversees project level plans related to schedule, scope and resources
• Gathers and, when appropriate, prioritizes feedback and new requirements from stakeholders
• Reviews and accepts or declines development output to ensure completion of specified acceptance criteria
• Provides just-in-time story elaboration to designers, business analysts, developers, testers and others to align with program and product roadmaps
• Serves as the content authority on an Agile team by maintaining a prioritized backlog and offering ongoing business guidance for the execution team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or a related field plus seven (7) years of relevant experience in process improvement, project delivery, business/requirements analysis or business operations/product line
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks under pressure
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Experience in Process Engineering methodologies and Change Management practices
• Familiarity with multiple technical software delivery methodologies (i.e., Agile, Waterfall)
• Proven ability to utilize data and analytics to formulate recommendations, solve business problems, and drive improvements
• Strong customer service orientation

Pay ranges are job specific and provided as a point of market reference for compensation decisions. Final pay factors include experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and performance in the role. The target information below reflects the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for the position and level.

Job Range Target: Minimum: 116,332.70 USD; Job Range Target: Median: 148,960.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans: This job may participate in an annual discretionary bonus plan.
