Job Description
The Assistant Store Manager, Operations is a values-driven leader role that connects store strategy to day-to-day execution. Reporting to the Store Manager, this position focuses on consistent store performance, strong customer and associate experiences, and coaching leaders to deliver operational excellence.
Location and Schedule
- Location: Roseville, CA (onsite)
- Schedule: Ability to work nights, weekends, and a flexible schedule
Compensation
- Salary: USD 36 - 43 per hourly
Responsibilities
- Lead customer experience execution across all brands, ensuring consistency, quality, and emotional connection
- Support leadership development for Managers, including coaching, performance management, and talent progression
- Oversee sales floor execution through Head Coach leadership to drive behaviors that support top-line results
- Translate store strategy into clear priorities and expectations across teams
- Partner with Operations to ensure store readiness enables the customer experience
- Own talent lifecycle activities alongside the Store Manager, including hiring, development, and performance management
- Manage assigned direct reports, including Managers and/or Supervisors
- Demonstrate and lead company values and company policy and procedures
- Execute the Head Coach role by delivering exceptional customer experiences through coaching, zoning, team selling, and personally selling
- Coach and develop associates
- Execute Daily Work Force Management actions to manage labor hours
- Maintain visual merchandising standards
- Collaborate with Sales Leadership Teams to ensure seamless execution
- Lead and model behaviors that align with leadership competencies
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including floorset mapping and execution, product launch support, brand education, and shipment processing
Requirements
- Passion for the Victoria’s Secret Brand with the ability to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Experience reviewing business reports and insights and taking immediate, deliberate action to achieve results
- Self-awareness and interest in seeking feedback to improve and develop
- Experience selecting and developing direct reports to the next level and building an environment where people do their best work
- Experience influencing cross-functional partners in informal and formal settings
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and a flexible schedule
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, and to frequently bend, stretch, kneel, walk, and stand for extended periods
- Ability to use technology including headsets, mobile devices, and computers
- Minimum experience: 4+ years of retail or operations leadership experience preferred
