Job Description

Product Owner in JPMorgan Private Equity Group leads digital solutions and operating models to support investment, diligence, portfolio monitoring, and reporting processes; this onsite role is based in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, estimation, and retrospectives, while co-managing complex product backlogs.
  • Support the development, delivery, and ongoing maintenance of PEG's technology platform.
  • Contribute to digital strategy initiatives and provide updates to senior leadership.
  • Oversee day-to-day core product design activities by guiding product discovery, establishing discovery and design frameworks, defining the discovery process, and recruiting business users for interviews.
  • Create high fidelity prototypes, assess technical and business viability, and ensure adherence to firm-wide UX standards across geographies.
  • Automate recurring client deliverables, including monthly cash flow and quarterly valuation reconciliations.
  • Lead design thinking engagements with internal product teams and Investment Management, exercising creative discretion in day-to-day design operations.
  • Support vendor management and business resource group activities, including MSCI and Canoe.
  • Provide project managers with enhanced analytics on portfolio construction, performance, and liquidity by integrating internal PEG systems with data from the vendor network.
  • Mentor junior product managers in defining minimum viable product backlogs and roadmaps.
  • Drive a transformation toward human-centered interface design and Agile/Scrum practices, with active business-user engagement in internal product development.
  • Lead the design and implementation of cloud-based architectures and hands-on full-stack development of solutions.
  • Participate in the overall implementation and scaling of digital cloud-based products.
  • Conduct quality assurance on developed products to meet requirements and standards.
  • Define KPIs and North Star metrics, and manage change to drive product adoption.
  • Support related product operations, including vendor coordination and management.
  • Demonstrate understanding of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and their role in product functionality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in private equity, consulting, product management, or digital transformation.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and documentation skills.
  • Experience with workflow mapping, requirements gathering, and agile delivery practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
