Global Product Manager

Molex is hiring a Global Product Manager to support its High-Speed Backplane and NPC products for the Enterprise segment. In this onsite role in Lisle, IL 60532, you will shape product strategy and execution for 112G and 224G+ silicon protocol speeds while driving customer-facing growth with hyperscale and big data accounts.

You’ll own a global product line end to end, balancing roadmap, pricing, positioning, lifecycle execution, and market insight. The role also includes frequent cross-functional collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, quality, sales, and program management, plus external representation through customer visits and industry forums.

What you’ll do

• Lead the development and execution of product strategy for global hyperscale customers, including roadmap, pricing, positioning, and portfolio management.
• Own the full product lifecycle: define requirements using customer feedback, market trends, and technical advancements, and drive on-time, on-budget launches.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with customers’ engineering teams, conducting market research and competitive analysis to uncover growth opportunities, emerging trends, and technology gaps.
• Drive go-to-market efforts, including sales enablement and marketing collateral, to promote new technologies and expand market penetration.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Design Engineering, Signal Integrity, DFM, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, and Program Management to ensure alignment and successful execution.
• Lead and mentor project teams by setting clear goals, managing risks, resolving issues, and maintaining project schedules.
• Develop business cases and secure leadership buy-in for new product development and capacity expansions aligned to customer needs and broader data communications market demands.
• Track product performance and market shifts, recommending product enhancements or portfolio adjustments to sustain competitive advantage and profitable growth.
• Represent Molex externally through customer site visits, global manufacturing location visits, and participation in industry forums as needed.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or comparable experience.
• Previous experience as a Product Manager, Sales, Product Design Engineer, or similar role, focused on high-speed interconnect products in data center or enterprise networking.
• 6+ years of experience within the Datacom Market.
• 4+ years of sales experience calling on Datacom accounts.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing without direct authority while driving complex projects with minimal oversight in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel globally as required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline.
• Experience negotiating and working with contract manufacturers and electronics market OEMs.
• Understanding silicon protocols and experience with high speeds such as 112g and 224g.
• Knowledge of hyperscale business dynamics and managing partnerships with chip vendors.
• Hands-on experience with SAP.

Salary and benefits

Salary: USD 130,000 - 150,000 per year.
