In this onsite role in Houston, you will lead Product Operations for S&P Global’s Geoscience, Engineering and Upstream Data Science software portfolio. The position focuses on operational excellence, cross-functional execution, and enabling a SaaS transformation through governance, metrics, and go-to-market support.

Role Overview

You will drive portfolio performance and operational cadence across a multi-product software offering valued at approximately $100M+. Responsibilities include establishing standardized workflows and performance frameworks, running quarterly business reviews, and supporting the transition from legacy desktop software to cloud-native SaaS platforms. You will also lead operational mechanisms that translate customer and commercial insights into product improvements and scalable AI and analytics integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a best-in-class operating cadence across the portfolio, including standardized development workflows, release governance, and performance frameworks that track ACV, ARR, NRR, churn, and feature-level ROI to inform executive decision-making.
  • Act as the connective function between Product, Engineering, Commercial, and Customer Success teams by leading quarterly business reviews, driving accountability to portfolio OKRs, and aligning product roadmaps with commercial timelines and go-to-market execution.
  • Support the transition from legacy desktop software to cloud-native SaaS platforms by partnering with Product Management and Engineering on release velocity, usage-based pricing models, platform scalability, and operational readiness for new platform launches.
  • Build structured processes to capture and prioritize insights from Technical Advisors, Customer Support, and Commercial teams, translating feedback into actionable product improvements that support customer experience, retention, and product-led growth.
  • Operationalize product launches across global markets, ensuring alignment between product positioning, pricing, and packaging strategies, and supporting deal qualification frameworks to enable expansion into underpenetrated markets.
  • Drive scalable AI and advanced analytics integration across the multi-product portfolio, enabling data-driven product investment decisions and next-generation capabilities for subsurface professionals worldwide.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Product Operations, Product Management, Strategy, or Business Operations roles.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in complex, cross-functional organizations within enterprise software or SaaS environments, working across Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, including experience with SaaS metrics such as ACV, ARR, NRR, churn analysis, and unit economics for data-driven decisions.
  • Experience building operating models, executive dashboards, performance frameworks, and execution processes that drive alignment and accountability.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with executive-level presence, including facilitating cross-functional meetings and leading quarterly business reviews.
  • Experience with product portfolio management and go-to-market operations, including product launches, release governance, and commercial enablement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in energy, geoscience, or engineering software markets, including familiarity with subsurface workflows such as seismic interpretation, reservoir modeling, or production optimization.
  • Track record supporting desktop-to-SaaS transformations, including migration strategies, cloud-native architecture considerations, and change management for technical user bases.
  • Exposure to AI/ML-enabled products, advanced analytics platforms, or data science applications in technical or scientific software environments.
  • Background working with global teams and international customers, including experience with market expansion and cross-cultural stakeholder management.
