Overview

We are seeking a senior-level Product Manager, internally titled Project Manager, to lead the vision and delivery for a Medicaid eligibility outcomes initiative. You will align with program leadership, eligibility operations, and technical delivery teams to ensure improvements are grounded in user needs and measurable results, while maintaining regulatory compliance and security standards.

Responsibilities

Serve as the Senior Product Manager for a cross-functional Medicaid eligibility outcomes pilot team.
Own and refine the product vision for a designated outcome area, ensuring alignment with program goals and compliance constraints.
Define, track, and communicate KPIs tied to beneficiary and worker outcomes, including renewals/retention, reduced administrative burden, fewer procedural terminations, and higher ex parte renewals.
Drive prioritization using user research, performance data, policy needs, and delivery feasibility.
Facilitate stakeholder engagement across program leadership, eligibility staff, IT teams, and external partners; present trade-offs and recommendations.
Translate operational pain points and policy requirements into roadmaps, backlogs, and acceptance criteria.
Partner with engineering, design, human-centered design, analysts, SMEs, and delivery teams from discovery through launch and post-launch measurement.
Turn research outputs such as journey maps and service blueprints into prototypes and implementable improvements.
Ensure solutions meet applicable regulations and standards including CMS Medicaid regulations, Section 508/WCAG accessibility, and privacy/security obligations.
Support agile, iterative delivery and help build sustainable product practices.
Follow security, change control, and PMO processes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of Product Management experience.
7+ years of Product Management experience, including 3+ years in complex, regulated, or large-scale environments (government, healthcare, financial services, etc.).
2+ years in a product lead capacity owning product vision, roadmap, and end-to-end prioritization.
Proven track record launching a digital feature or product end-to-end with measurable outcomes.
Strong ability to navigate policy, operational, legal/regulatory, and technical constraints in stakeholder-heavy environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for executive, frontline, and technical audiences.
Experience translating needs into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Preferred Qualifications

Medicaid or public benefits experience (CHIP, SNAP, TANF), including eligibility workflows, renewals/redeterminations, ex parte, and procedural terminations.
Product experience in public-sector benefits, marketplaces, civic tech, or mission-driven organizations.
Familiarity with public-sector compliance and modernization practices (USDS/18F-style delivery).
Experience partnering with human-centered design or service design teams.
Experience defining and managing OKRs/KPIs and using analytics or experimentation to guide prioritization.
Experience with AI-assisted workflows or automation in regulated environments, with responsible AI and equity considerations.
Certifications such as CSPO, SAFe PO/PM, Pragmatic Institute, or similar programs.

Job Description

Pompeian Inc is seeking a Product Manager to steward its Private Label portfolio from concept through launch in a hybrid Baltimore setting. This role collaborates closely with Sales, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, and Marketing to ensure on-time delivery and that all artwork approvals meet specifications and customer standards.

Responsibilities

Act as the primary contact for all Private Label activities and oversee commercialization for select items across Innovation, Sales, Quality, Regulatory, and Operations.
Develop and manage project timelines and trackers, keeping all stakeholders aligned and informed.
Ensure artwork is produced accurately and on time, aligned with specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer standards.
Review artwork for accuracy of nutritionals, claims, ingredients, dyelines, UPC placement, and related details.
Coordinate among Graphic Designers, Regulatory, Quality, printers, and packaging vendors.
Partner with Sales and Innovation to move new items from ideas to samples, approvals, and launch.
Coordinate samples, packaging requirements, artwork routes, and internal reviews.
Track customer requests and manage deadlines.
Own the end-to-end item setup process.
Create and track UPCs, item numbers, pack information, pallet details, and system data.
Collaborate with Operations and Finance to ensure accuracy.
Build, update, and maintain sales slides and sell sheets.
Support Sales in preparing for customer meetings and line reviews.
Maintain an organized library of item information.
Track ingredient lists, label copy, claims, certifications, COAs, and specs.
Ensure packaging meets all regulatory and customer requirements before final artwork release.
Support responses to customer quality requests.
Align with Operations on production timing, packaging, inventory, and launch status.
Manage packaging transitions and reformulations.
Communicate risks and timeline changes proactively.
Maintain a comprehensive tracker of all items, timelines, statuses, and ownership.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce bottlenecks.
Provide summary updates to Innovation and Sales leadership.
Align with the company's mission, goals, and values and ensure environmental projects meet company objectives.
Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is required.
Typically 1 to 3+ years of experience in product management, project coordination, or related roles.
Proven project management skills.
Strong attention to detail, especially with artwork, specifications, and data.
Experience working cross-functionally with Operations and Marketing teams.
Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong organization and multitasking abilities.
