Job Description

The Mac NPI PM organization role leads operations within WW Operations and acts as the primary interface between core product development and other functional organizations. In this position, you own the product launch execution, aligning cross-functional delivery to meet cost, quality, schedule, availability, and customer experience objectives.

Role Overview

This role will lead the team within WW Operations. It serves as the primary operations interface to the core product development organization and other functional groups across Apple. As the product owner for New Product Introduction (NPI), the NPI PM ensures successful product launches against defined goals for cost, quality, schedule, availability, and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead ramp availability for all product modules in partnership with Materials, Quality, Engineering, and other internal and external teams.
  • Ensure security, materials, equipment, fixtures, staffing, training, and documentation plans are established with partner organizations.
  • Drive responsive supply chain strategies that optimize for lowest costs, operational flexibility, and high quality.
  • Assess, analyze, consolidate, and communicate risk and status clearly to management, highlighting key issues and presenting resolution options to the cross-functional executive team through new product reviews and other executive forums.
  • Provide links from Ops & Engineering teams to Factory teams across development builds through new product introduction, including product hand-off to Sustaining Operations Management.
  • Travel internationally up to 20-25%.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or product development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with off-shore manufacturers and traveling to manufacturing sites.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to present to management.
  • Exceptional ability to build relationships.
  • Clear, consistent communication.
  • Use of data to drive decisions, paired with willingness to take action.
  • High motivation and enthusiasm.
  • High attention to detail while running multiple work-streams.
  • Technical expertise and prior OEM management experience.
  • Master’s or MBA considered a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base pay range: USD $133,500 to $246,200 per year (determined based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location).

Additional Information

International travel is expected up to 20-25% for this role.
