Operating Systems Maintenance (OSM) Product Owner

The Operating Systems Maintenance (OSM) Product Owner role supports the PAE Fires Mission Command Product Office within the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office at Aviation & Missile Solutions. Based in Huntsville, AL, this onsite position focuses on product ownership for operating systems maintenance work, partnering closely with the Operating Systems Maintenance Development team to plan, verify, and drive delivery through program execution.

In this role, you lead the cadence for Program Increment and Sprint planning, manage status and competing priorities, and ensure the team’s work is ready for acceptance. You will also engage in troubleshooting during testing and fielding, while coordinating with program management to elevate blockers and issues.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a member of the Operating Systems Maintenance Development team
• Maintain day-to-day awareness of team status
• Collaborate with the team to develop sufficient acceptance criteria for sprint-planned work
• Verify acceptance criteria once work is complete
• Verify the team’s Definition of Done
• Perform backlog grooming
• Review systems engineering documents for future capabilities that may impact the team
• Raise blockers and issues to program management
• Work with the team to troubleshoot issues identified during testing or fielding
• Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field
• 7+ years of relevant experience
• Experience deploying operating systems including Windows and RHEL
• Experience updating and patching operating systems
• Experience implementing Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)
• Experience with ACAS scanning and risk assessment
• Experience with Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert/Management (IAVA/IAVM) processes
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative team environment
