Principal Product Manager - Technical, Last Mile Execution Planning
Job Description
Based in Bellevue, Washington and onsite, this role guides the technical direction of Amazon's last-mile execution planning. The Principal Product Manager - Technical will steer routing optimization, containerization, and dispatch at scale across multiple delivery models, balancing cost, throughput, safety, and customer experience while aligning product decisions with the wider logistics network. This position offers a salary range of USD 179,900 to 243,400 per year and requires a Bachelor's degree.
Responsibilities
- Define strategically impactful products for the Last Mile organization, shaping one of the world’s most distributed logistics ecosystems.
- Lead multi-year product delivery across VP-level organizations, coordinating cross-functional efforts that tackle architectural and algorithmic challenges in last-mile planning and execution.
- Drive simplification and efficiency improvements across distributed software systems processing 3.5+ billion packages annually, identifying and remediating critical issues at scale across 280+ delivery stations and 13+ countries.
- Own the technical roadmap and influence business strategy for execution planning systems, partnering with engineering to design scalable solutions for routing optimization, containerization, and dispatch that balance cost, throughput, safety, and customer experience.
- Define business and technical requirements, resolve ambiguities, and manage delivery timelines for high-visibility initiatives, making data-driven trade-offs to maximize ROI while ensuring solutions remain generalizable and resilient to varying operational conditions.
Requirements

About the Team
Execution Planning (EP) is responsible for routing the work of Amazon delivery partners across a growing suite of services, including Amazon Logistics, AMXL (heavy and bulky deliveries), Amazon Shipping, and Sub-same-day. The team confronts architectural and algorithmic challenges that enable essential capabilities for Amazon, from same-day delivery to maintaining continuous package flow within delivery stations and in-station robotic handling.
