Principal Product Operations Manager
Job Description
The Principal Product Operations Manager role at FedEx focuses on scaling product excellence through operational strategy, practical operating rhythm frameworks, and cross-functional alignment to company priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product leadership to define and execute strategic initiatives consistent with product and broader company goals.
- Design and manage frameworks that strengthen product operating rhythms, including planning, prioritization, and performance tracking.
- Lead cross-functional efforts aimed at improving product development velocity, operational efficiency, and customer impact.
- Translate business, product, and financial data into actionable insights that inform product strategy and investment decisions.
- Own quarterly and annual planning processes, coordinating finance, portfolio inputs, and product roadmaps.
- Serve as a connector across teams to ensure clear communication, proper risk escalation, and delivery accountability.
- Coach product teams on product operations best practices, including OKRs, initiative tracking, and business case development.
- Produce executive-ready materials such as presentations, reports, and dashboards to communicate performance and progress.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Five (5) plus years of experience in Product Operations or a comparable role such as Finance, Product Strategy, Business Operations, or Chief of Staff.
- More advanced degree may offset experience requirements.
- Demonstrated experience supporting senior executives or leadership teams.
- Strong financial acumen, including close collaboration with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and investment planning.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort working through ambiguity while driving structured solutions.
- Proven ability to influence outcomes without formal authority across cross-functional stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience turning enterprise priorities into product strategies, portfolio roadmaps, and measurable business outcomes.
- Track record developing, monitoring, and improving OKRs, KPIs, scorecards, and performance measurement frameworks.
- Experience creating executive-level presentations, business reviews, and strategic communications for senior leadership.
- Background in management consulting or use of consulting methodologies to address complex product and business challenges.
- Proven capability partnering with senior leaders and collaborating across cross-functional teams in a large, complex enterprise environment.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and organizational skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
- Ability to establish governance, drive cross-team alignment, and operationalize strategic initiatives at scale.
- Experience supporting digital product organizations through strategic planning, portfolio management, or operational excellence initiatives.

Location and Work Arrangement
This position is eligible for remote work and may be located anywhere within the United States excluding AK, HI and U.S. territories. If you live within a 50-mile radius of a FedEx campus, you will be required to work at a FedEx campus location several times per week.
Compensation
USD 9,208 - 20,872 per month.
