Product Manager
Job Description
The Product Manager for Consolidated Business Services (CBS) in Canby, Oregon, defines and drives the product vision, roadmap, and requirements for Internet, Managed WiFi, and Voice/VoIP offerings across CBS partner companies, with emphasis on telecom providers and B2B partner-facing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Define and document product requirements, including features, packaging, pricing considerations, and target markets, drawing on market analysis, competitive insights, customer feedback, and technology trends; develop business cases and revenue/margin projections.
- Execute the product strategy and roadmap while managing constraints from multi-location deployments, resource availability, and diverse infrastructure platforms, ensuring alignment with revenue goals and strategic initiatives.
- Establish and sustain ongoing feedback loops with customers and partners to inform decisions for B2C and B2B offerings, including direct engagement with CBS members and end business customers where applicable.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to shape product positioning and coordinate industry co-branded marketing opportunities.
- Oversee external vendor and partner relationships related to assigned product lines, including evaluation, onboarding, ongoing performance management, contract input, SLA expectations, and commercial alignment.
- Lead structured communications with stakeholders, providing regular updates, roadmap alignment, and issue resolution across departments.
- Represent the product lines to internal and external audiences through documentation, presentations, live training, instructional materials, videos, and related activities such as sales training, partner enablement, and member-facing initiatives.
- Prepare regular product reports for assigned lines, including key performance indicators such as revenue, adoption, usage, customer feedback, and product performance, with recommendations based on trends.
- Evaluate new technologies for future development through structured vetting and business case development, aligning with company strategy, including beta programs and post-launch evaluation.
- Perform other duties as required to fulfill job functions or as assigned.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in product management, product marketing, or related roles; telecommunications experience is preferred but not required.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, engineering, or a related field is preferred; an Associate's degree with relevant experience may substitute for a four-year degree.
- Strong knowledge of marketing and product management concepts, covering the full product lifecycle from discovery and requirements definition through launch, ongoing optimization, and eventual sunset.
- Ability to learn the products and services offered by multiple companies.
- Working knowledge of measuring product performance using metrics such as revenue, adoption, customer feedback, and overall product effectiveness.
- Knowledge of internet services, managed WiFi solutions, VoIP technologies, and supporting infrastructure (SIP, FTTH, DSL, TCP/IP, Ethernet, etc.).
- Knowledge of IP-based products and consumer and business service offerings is preferred but not required.
