Product Manager

At Oriental Yuhong North America, the TPO Single-Ply Roofing Product Manager will steer the certifications, technical development, and lifecycle support for TPO roofing projects from our Waller, Texas site. This onsite role demands deep expertise in TPO systems, FM and UL certification processes, and the ability to collaborate across R&D, engineering, and field teams to deliver reliable, code-compliant solutions for commercial applications. The role emphasizes technical leadership and cross-functional partnership to advance product standards and market competitiveness.

Position Summary

We are seeking a seasoned TPO Single-Ply Roofing Product Manager to lead certification programs, advance technical development, and maintain compatibility standards for accessory materials across the lifecycle of TPO roofing projects. The right candidate will bring deep experience with TPO systems, FM and UL certification processes, and broad commercial roofing know-how.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full FM Approvals and UL certification submission workflow for TPO single-ply roofing assemblies.
• Coordinate testing activities, gather documentation, and ensure submissions meet FM Approvals, UL listings, and other relevant certifications.
• Maintain and expand approved roofing assemblies to support market growth and meet customer requirements.
• Ensure products comply with applicable building codes, testing standards, and industry regulations.
• Monitor changes to FM Data Sheets, code requirements, and industry standards that impact roof system design and performance.
• Establish technical criteria for TPO roofing systems and associated accessory materials.
• Identify, evaluate, qualify, and source compatible accessory materials for TPO applications.
• Collaborate with research and development, engineering, and manufacturing to improve roofing system performance.
• Support testing initiatives and product validation programs to ensure long-term system reliability.
• Conduct on-site roof surveys and assessments for commercial projects.
• Develop technical proposals, specifications, and bid documents for TPO opportunities.
• Perform wind uplift calculations and assemble technical submittals aligned with project requirements.
• Provide system recommendations and design assistance to contractors, consultants, architects, and owners.
• Deliver post-sale technical support to ensure customer satisfaction and optimal system performance.
• Assist in resolving field issues, warranty claims, and installation-related concerns.
• Serve as the company’s technical expert for TPO roofing systems.
• Support sales teams with product training, technical presentations, and customer meetings.
• Develop technical literature, installation guides, specifications, and educational materials.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure product consistency, quality, and market competitiveness.

Requirements

• Minimum five years of experience in commercial roofing, roofing product management, technical services, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Building Science, or a related discipline.
• Deep knowledge of all application methods for TPO single-ply roofing systems.
• Proficiency in wind load calculations and creation of technical submittals for roofing projects.
• Strong understanding of the FM certification process and relevant FM Data Sheets for TPO systems.
• Experience managing FM Approvals and UL certification programs.
• Solid grasp of commercial roofing system design, attachment methods, and code compliance.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, engineering reports, and testing data.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and project-management skills.
