Job Description

Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap for major areas of the Pi platform, from discovery and definition through launch and iteration
- Stay close to customers by connecting with security and engineering teams weekly
- Run feedback loops with design partners and enterprise accounts, then translate insights into shipped work
- Stay close to model capabilities by understanding what frontier models can do today and planning for upcoming changes
- Define the trust bar for autonomous agents, including:
- What Pi can fix independently
- Where human approval is required
- How agent output quality is measured over time using evals and real-world outcomes
- Shape how Pi fits into existing engineering workflows, including GitHub, issue trackers, chat, and coding agents
- Define the memory and context model so Pi can accumulate customer codebase knowledge, decisions, and history
- Prototype to learn by using AI coding tools to build and test ideas before engineering commitment
- Define success before launch, then resolve debates using adoption, retention, and customer outcomes
- Partner with sales and marketing on positioning, launching, and adoption of new capabilities
- Establish lightweight product practices (specs, prioritization, launch reviews) that scale as the team grows
Requirements
- 4+ years of product management experience shipping technical products adopted by real users
- Experience building products for developers, security teams, or other technical users
- Technical depth to operate as a peer with engineers, including reading pull requests, following architecture discussions, and reasoning about model behavior
- Hands-on daily use of AI coding tools and agents, with an informed view of where they succeed and where they fall short
- Experience with probabilistic output products, including setting acceptance bars and measuring quality over time
- Strong writing skills and ability to drive decisions across engineering, customers, and leadership
- Comfort with ambiguity and end-to-end ownership, including framing problems, proposing paths, and moving work forward
- Comfort owning outcomes in an early-stage company
- Willingness to work onsite in San Francisco five days a week
