Job Description

HYDAC Technology Corporation is seeking a Product Manager for Electronic Sensors to guide the strategy and execution of the Electronic Division’s sensor portfolio. This onsite role in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, focuses on defining product direction, supporting technical sales, capturing voice of the customer, and collaborating across global teams to bring sensor-driven solutions to market. The position emphasizes cross-functional coordination, marketing content creation, and engagement with strategic accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and promote the Electronic Division’s product and solution strategy with key business partners
  • Identify and cultivate strategic target accounts
  • Create marketing content for sensors and controls solutions
  • Represent HYDAC with customers and accompany Sales Managers on customer visits to discuss technology and advanced systems
  • Lead technical sales activities for all Electronic Division sensors products and solutions
  • Assist in selecting products based on customer requirements and RFQs
  • Generate formal proposals for customers
  • Collaborate globally with HYDAC electronics and controls teams on product and market strategies and their execution
  • Provide Voice of Customer (VoC) input to development groups for new products
  • Support and train application engineering and field sales including HYDAC and distributor personnel
  • Handle quotations, price strategies, and price lists
  • Recommend and monitor stock levels
  • Create and update product literature and publicity materials
  • Coordinate participation in trade shows
  • Prepare and present product presentations, reports, and plans
  • Manage product and customer-related projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred (Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred); associate degree with relevant experience will be considered
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience required; 5+ years is preferred
  • Experience with sales and application of electronic sensors
  • Hardware knowledge is desirable, particularly in sensor functionality and applications
  • Travel up to 40 percent, primarily domestic with some international opportunities

The Product Manager for Electronic Sensors sits within the Electronic Division, which aims to assist customers in deploying advanced electronic architectures on their machines using HYDAC sensors. Our portfolio includes devices for pressure, temperature, inclination, angle, linear position, fluid level, radar, and other sensor types optimized for mobile and industrial machines.

Key Skills and Attributes

  • 3–5 years of related industry experience is preferred
  • Self-starter with strong motivation and initiative
  • Excellent presentation abilities
  • Ability to build effective relationships with HYDAC sales teams, distributors, and customers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to groups and respond to questions
  • Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting business publications, technical procedures, and regulatory guidance
  • Ability to produce reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals
  • Comfort interpreting varied instructions delivered in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to gather and analyze information and propose alternatives
  • Customer service orientation with prompt responsiveness to needs
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% domestically and internationally
