Product Manager, Global Private Banking (GPB) Chief Data Office (CDO)
Job Description
JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Product Manager to lead the Global Private Banking (GPB) Chief Data Office initiatives, guiding the end-to-end product lifecycle for scalable GPB data capabilities such as the metadata catalog, data lineage, and a data marketplace. This role acts as the voice of the customer, coordinating with cross-functional teams to translate needs into a clear roadmap and measurable value. The position is onsite in Jersey City, New Jersey, with a salary range of USD 122,550 - 201,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Define a strategic product vision that delivers tangible value to GPB clients and stakeholders.
- Lead discovery and market research to uncover customer solutions and integrate them into the product roadmap.
- Own and refine the product backlog to align development with the strategic roadmap and value proposition.
- Establish a framework to measure success and monitor metrics such as cost, feature set, risk posture, and reliability.
- Specify and maintain GPB centralized metadata requirements, including cataloging, business glossary, technical metadata, data domains, and semantic layer alignment.
- Define GPB data lineage requirements, incorporating automated harvesting, transparency, and trust signals to support producer and consumer workflows.
- Outline data marketplace requirements that enable end-to-end discovery-to-access journeys for GPB personas, with measurable outcomes that improve self-service and usability.
- Collaborate with Asset and Wealth Management and broader product and engineering teams to review designs, provide actionable feedback, and ensure solutions meet validated GPB requirements.
- Draft clear, testable requirements and acceptance criteria, and coordinate business-facing user acceptance testing to validate delivered outcomes.
- Represent GPB needs in cross-functional governance and alignment forums, helping to shape decisions and priorities.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of experience in product management or a related domain.
- Deep understanding of the product development lifecycle, design, and data analytics.
- Proven ability to lead lifecycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management.
- Experience defining and socializing requirements with engineering, design, and business teams, and validating delivered solutions against changing needs.
- At least five years implementing metadata, lineage, data marketplace, or other data platform capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of metadata management, including data cataloguing, business glossary, technical metadata, data domains, semantic alignment, and lineage concepts.
- Solid understanding of data marketplace and discovery concepts, including trust signals and user- or system-driven access journeys.
- Familiarity with AI applications for metadata enrichment, classification, and discovery, with the ability to shape requirements in controlled environments.
- Experience embedding governance, risk, and control requirements into capability designs and validation approaches.
- Financial services or banking industry experience is required, with a solid grasp of data management, governance, and compliance within regulated environments.
