Product Manager, Marketplace

HUD is building infrastructure for reinforcement learning training data and evaluations for frontier AI agents, along with a marketplace that helps sell that work to frontier labs through the HUD marketplace. If you enjoy turning complex requirements into dependable workflows, this role lets you shape a marketplace that supports both data vendors and research teams.

As the Product Manager, Marketplace, you will own product work for the marketplace, enabling data vendors to bring high-quality RL environments and training data to HUD, and helping research teams discover, evaluate, and use those resources effectively.

What you’ll do

• Own the marketplace product lifecycle, from understanding vendor and buyer needs through prioritization, launch, and iteration
• Improve how vendors onboard, submit work, understand quality feedback, and manage their offerings on HUD
• Improve how research teams discover, assess, and access environments and training data that meet their needs
• Partner with engineering, research, GTM, and operations to convert complex requirements and manual processes into reliable platform workflows
• Define and track measures of marketplace health, product adoption, and user experience, using feedback and product data to decide what to build next

What you bring

• Experience owning a live software product end to end, from discovery through launch and iteration
• Strong product judgment, with the ability to simplify technically complex workflows for users
• Comfort speaking directly with users to identify the underlying problem behind requests and translate insights into clear priorities
• Ability to balance user needs, business impact, and engineering constraints when making product decisions
• Experience using qualitative feedback and quantitative signals to evaluate whether product changes worked
• Clear written communication and the ability to align engineers and partners around decisions in an ambiguous environment
• Experience with marketplaces or products serving two distinct groups of users
• Familiarity with AI training data, evaluations, and RL environments
• Experience building a product function or establishing product practices on a growing team
• Early-stage startup experience and strong communication skills for collaboration across teams and time zones

• Location: San Francisco, CA (hybrid). Open to remote candidates who can work hours overlapping 70% to 80% with San Francisco or Singapore time zones
