Product Manager/Strategy 4-ProdDev
Job Description
Oracle is seeking a Product Manager/Strategy to lead product vision and execution for a major area of Oracle Database’s AI platform. This role focuses on turning real production AI and agent needs into scalable products, developer workflows, and measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Own the strategy and execution for a major area of Oracle Database’s AI platform, including vision, roadmap, and measurable outcomes.
- Work closely with developers and enterprise customers to identify barriers that prevent AI applications from reaching production, then convert those needs into products customers can adopt and operate at scale.
- Define and shape how developers connect agents to enterprise data, select and use models and tools, evaluate behavior, diagnose failures, and apply security and governance controls.
- Translate agent and workflow requirements into APIs, SDKs, visual tools, and operational experiences.
- Uncover problems involved in building and operating production AI applications and agents with input from developers, AI engineers, architects, and enterprise customers.
- Use customer evidence and advances in AI to develop products that address durable, high-value problems.
- Reduce the time and effort required to move AI applications from prototype to production.
- Shape developer-facing APIs, SDKs, tools, and workflows so they can learn quickly and operate with confidence at enterprise scale.
- Specify how agents securely retrieve enterprise data, maintain context, use tools, and produce grounded results.
- Shape evaluation and observability experiences that help customers measure quality, diagnose failures, and improve agent behavior.
- Partner with engineering on tradeoffs across model quality, latency, reliability, security, interoperability, scalability, and cost.
- Prototype with models, APIs, agent frameworks, and developer tools to test assumptions before committing engineering investment.
- Determine build, improve, or stop decisions using customer research, product telemetry, evaluations, and market evidence.
- Recruit design partners and collaborate from initial discovery through production deployment and adoption.
- Connect Oracle database, cloud, application, and developer capabilities into cohesive AI development workflows.
- Measure success through developer adoption, time to first working application, time to production, production workload growth, quality, reliability, latency, and cost efficiency.
- Write product narratives, requirements, decision documents, and investment proposals to align engineering teams and senior leaders.
- Analyze competing platforms, open-source technologies, and emerging AI architectures to identify shifts in customer expectations and opportunities for differentiation.
- Collaborate with go-to-market teams on positioning, pricing, technical enablement, customer briefings, launches, and adoption.
- Represent the product with customers, partners, senior executives, and the AI developer community.
- Strengthen product-management practices and mentor other product managers.
