Product Manager, TD Premier
Job Description
TD Bank is hiring a Product Manager to lead end-to-end management of assigned TD Premier products, services, and programs. This onsite role in Charlotte focuses on translating customer insights into product improvements while meeting business results tied to profit and loss objectives.
What you’ll do
- Oversee end-to-end management of assigned products, services, and programs, including defining features, benefits, and characteristics that meet customer needs and are priced to support the Bank’s profit and loss objectives.
- Manage a specific product or function that supports the achievement of a business strategy.
- Drive innovation through customer insights to improve the customer experience for a particular product.
- Take accountability for business results and product sales, partnering with Acquisition teams to help meet widget and volume targets.
- Integrate enterprise strategy for the relevant sub-function or business line when developing solutions across multiple functions or operations.
- Provide expertise on distribution challenges, particularly in primarily 3rd party channels, for niche or customized products and segments.
- Lead or support complex problem-solving and the development of new solutions.
- Use sophisticated analytical thinking and sound judgment to identify and evaluate solutions.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements, customer needs, market dynamics, and industry factors to inform product and process innovation.
- Develop and implement products, policies, and procedures that enhance the end-to-end customer experience, including training, enhancement, and irritant reduction, while meeting business objectives.
- Ensure clear and effective delivery of products and services to customers.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for product-related inquiries.
- May lead business plans leveraging Acquisition and Segments teams to support new account growth and track P&L impact.
- Liaise with partners such as Marketing, Phone Channel, and Retail to understand industry and customer trends; analyze challenges and identify opportunities using customer research, focus groups, and external secondary research.
- Facilitate ideation sessions and build business cases for new product development, supporting solutions and stronger growth plans.
- Build and maintain relationships with sales distribution and key internal and external partners to ensure customer needs inform strategic decisions and product option development.
- Lead and facilitate problem-solving sessions with partners and vendors.
- Design end-to-end processes for product development, implementation, use, reporting, and feedback for developed products and segments.
- Coordinate market research to determine underlying customer needs that feed the development process.
- Participate in day-to-day product management, identifying and implementing features and enhancements, providing business case support for recommendations, and assisting with strategic development of new initiatives.
- Operate within relevant enterprise frameworks and methodologies for the business area.
- Deliver financial results for the product suite through levers such as pricing, margin, and volume, and create business cases to support strategic outcomes including acquisition, retention, customer experience, engagement, and market share.
- Support Senior Management with product portfolio expertise through written and verbal presentations (product reviews, planning and forecasting, and strategic review sessions).
- Conduct ongoing industry and competitive analysis to keep Acquisition teams informed and competitive in the marketplace.
- Refine product management strategies through detailed P&L analysis, competitive research, and review of marketing and risk management tactics.
- Ensure effective product policies and processes align with risk appetite and support business processes.
- Oversee product management deliverables within budget and according to the approved product plan, including developing deliverable content with business partners.
- Champion the annual business plan and the monthly/quarterly forecast process.
- Support partner-led projects as identified.
- Collaborate with internal and external service providers (IT, operations, legal, compliance, marketing, and others) to ensure the product meets TD Bank objectives and standards.
- Identify and manage risks (market, credit, operational) tied to the product and segment.
- Maintain productive working relationships with distribution channel owners.
- Know and comply with Bank and Industry Codes of Conduct, and support a culture of risk management and control aligned with risk appetite.
- Participate fully as a team member by supporting quality, innovation, teamwork, and timely communication of issues.
- Provide thought leadership and support knowledge transfer within the team and business unit.
- Participate in personal performance management and development, including cross training.
- Keep stakeholders updated on project status, progress, and relevant information related to day-to-day work.
- Mentor others to share knowledge and best practices and contribute to team capability building.
- Lead, motivate, and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to a fair, positive, and equitable environment supporting a diverse workforce.
- Act as a brand ambassador for the business area and the bank, internally and/or externally.

What you bring
- Undergraduate degree or product management certificate.
- 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Previous product experience is typically required.
- Advanced knowledge of and ability to conduct product research, product analysis and development, forecasting, pricing, and competitive intelligence.
- Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends.
- Ability to lead, plan, implement, and evaluate program or project activities to complete product initiatives.
- Ability to forecast and contribute to strategic direction of the product management function and advise senior leadership.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and functions and build relationships.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Sound judgment, ability to analyze and prioritize work, and capability to meet multiple deadlines.
- Skill in preparing and managing budgets and profit and loss statements.
- Knowledge of and/or ability to use analytical software tools, data analysis methods, and reporting techniques.
- Skill in using computer applications including MS Office.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Compensation
- Base salary and pay range: USD 91,000 - 145,600 per year
