Product Operation Manager, Local Service - POI

Product Operation Manager for Local Service - POI at TikTok is based onsite in San Jose, CA. The role centers on evaluating user experience, partnering with product and labeling teams, and conducting competitive analysis to drive POI product improvements for TikTok’s US operations. The position offers a yearly salary range of USD 93,600 to 220,400 and requires a bachelor’s degree or higher with at least three years of relevant experience in local services or related maps / location-based services.

Responsibilities

• Perform UX evaluation and research for POI offerings within TikTok US, establishing standards for data assessment.
• Collaborate with Product and Labeling teams to refine evaluation capabilities, deliver results, and ensure the quality of outputs as well as efficiency of manual processes.
• Monitor launches and iterations of competitors in the local services space, and propose product recommendations and matched solutions for diverse business scenarios.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, plus 3+ years of experience in local services, maps / location-based services, or O2O industries.
• Proven track record of advancing business metrics through campaigns or growth initiatives, particularly in user permissions, product adoption, or funnel optimization.
• Strong learning agility and an ownership mindset; able to quickly understand new products, policies, and systems, and drive projects forward independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills; capable of coordinating multiple teams and advancing complex initiatives end-to-end under ambiguity and pressure.
• Strong data literacy and structured thinking; proficient in using data to define problems, assess performance, and inform decisions.
• Goal-driven, resilient, and detail-oriented; able to balance long-term strategy with hands-on execution and rapid iteration.
