Product Operations Lead

This on-site role in Hawthorne supports the Starlink program, focusing on uncovering improvement opportunities, driving cross-functional initiatives, and delivering process enhancements that improve the customer experience. You will partner with software, sales, finance, fulfillment, and enterprise account management to move programs from concept to completion while maintaining clear milestones and dependencies.
Responsibilities
- Apply the Algorithm to streamline workflows by challenging requirements, removing unnecessary steps, and simplifying procedures to improve cross-team and customer-facing processes
- Enhance operational standards using established process improvement methods
- Create, revise, and maintain documentation to implement organizational process improvements
- Implement data management workflows and enhancements to reduce administrative overhead for an expanding consumer base
- Develop strategies and solutions for internal customers, ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders
- Collaborate with software development, sales, finance, fulfillment, and enterprise account management to define and simplify cross-team handoffs
- Build and manage tools to communicate schedules, identify critical paths and dependencies, and track progress toward customer operation goals
- Identify system gaps and lead enhancements, automations, and simple, effective fixes to improve internal interfaces
- Provide routine project status updates, milestones, and roadmaps to stakeholders
- Lead multiple concurrent projects, reporting status and risks to senior leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of experience in customer operations, supply chain, production, technology, consulting, or manufacturing
- 2+ years of process improvement experience within a supply chain, production, customer operations, technology, consulting, or manufacturing environment
- 1+ years of experience using Excel, SQL, and/or Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) for data analysis
- Significant experience with tools and systems used to manage Starlink consumer customers
- Significant technical knowledge of Starlink in at least one key area (examples: satellites, ground network, business operations, user terminals)
- Ability to synthesize multiple unique requirements and propose smart solutions, products, or features
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience communicating with external and internal stakeholders
- Experience with a high-volume consumer product
- Understanding of root cause analysis
- Experience using Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Experience with Six Sigma or other lean manufacturing concepts
- Experience managing complex projects and assessing schedule dependencies, risks, and conflicts
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Compensation and Benefits
The pay range for this role is 90,000 to 125,000 USD per year. Your level and base salary are determined on a case-by-case basis based on job-related knowledge, education, and experience. Base salary is part of a broader rewards package that may include long-term incentives such as company stock or stock options, discretionary bonuses, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

Eligible employees may accrue three weeks of paid vacation and receive ten or more paid holidays annually. Exempt employees receive five days of sick leave each year.
Additional Requirements
- Must be available to work extended hours and or weekends as needed to support critical milestones or operational shifts
- Some travel to SpaceX sites may be required
- Must be able to work at SpaceX offices in Hawthorne, CA
