Product Operations Lead
Job Description
The Product Operations Lead helps deliver the store product strategy by leading day-to-day product operations, inventory accuracy, and merchandising execution. This role also supports team development through feedback and coaching, and serves as Supervisor on Duty during scheduled floor coverage to provide a world-class guest experience.
Location & Schedule
- Location: Oak Brook, IL (onsite)
- Availability: Schedule varies based on store needs
- Typical shift times: mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Peak coverage: during peak timeframes, special events, or other circumstances, the schedule may include early mornings or late nights/overnights for some team members
Compensation
- Base pay range: $22.50 - $25.89/hour (subject to minimum wage in the location)
- Target bonus: $2.00/hour
- Total target base pay range: $24.50 - $27.89/hour
- Bonus program: eligible for a competitive bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with store leadership to translate product strategy into store execution.
- Plan, prioritize, manage, and lead inventory processing and accuracy activities in alignment with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure execution of product actions such as pull backs, consolidations, and repricing.
- Create a fun and productive shift environment that engages team members in inventory management.
- Monitor product levels and communicate insights to support sell-through strategy and optimal product availability for guests.
- Review and interpret daily business data and metrics to guide actions, including recommendations to store leadership on product focus and, for outlets, pricing.
- Participate in the store hiring process, including recruitment, selection, hiring recommendations, onboarding, and training.
- Provide direct feedback, recognition, coaching, demonstrations, and hands-on learning experiences to support performance and ongoing development.
- Contribute to a respectful, inclusive environment by building supportive working relationships with team members.
- When scheduled as Supervisor on Duty during store open hours, move throughout the store and lead from the floor to deliver technical product education and a world-class guest experience.
Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country where the store is located.
- Must be able to travel to the assigned store using reliable transportation methods.
Experience
- Some experience in inventory management, product or visual merchandising, stocking, or planning and logistics, including using business technology to complete work.
- Some experience leading, mentoring, delegating, or implementing processes with others.
Job Assets (Nice to Have)
- Education: High school diploma/GED/equivalent or above.
- Experience: Retail, sales, distribution center, or warehouse operations, plus experience reviewing and interpreting business reports and metrics to inform action.
- Experiential stores with food/beverage service only: Food safety and/or liquor service certification.
Work Context
- Move through the store, including front-of-house areas with bright lights and loud music and back-of-house areas with no windows or natural light.
- Work is completed as part of a team and sometimes independently, using a computer or other technical devices as needed.
- Occasionally move boxes weighing up to 30 lbs (13.6 kg) and use ladders to reach materials.
- Experiential stores with food/beverage service only: use industrial kitchen equipment and be exposed to heat to prepare food or beverages.
