Job Description

The Product Operations Lead executes the store product strategy by overseeing daily product operations and inventory management. This role ensures floor and back of house areas are stocked and organized, supports sell-through through data-driven actions, and leads guest experience while acting as Supervisor on Duty during store open hours.

Location and Schedule

  • Location: Millbury, MA (onsite)
  • Work authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the country where the store is located
  • Travel: Ability to travel to the assigned store with reliable transportation methods
  • Schedule: Varies based on store needs; shifts are typically mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Peak-time adjustments: During peak timeframes, special events, or other circumstances, some team members may work early mornings or late nights/overnights

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with store leadership to bring the store product strategy to life.
  • Plan, prioritize, manage, and lead inventory processing and accuracy activities in alignment with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure completion of product actions such as pull backs, consolidations, and repricing.
  • Create a fun and productive shift atmosphere that engages team members in inventory management.
  • Monitor product levels and share findings to support sell-through strategy and maintain optimal product availability for guests.
  • Review and interpret daily business data and metrics to inform actions, including analyzing product sell-through data to recommend product focus to store leadership (and pricing recommendations for outlets).
  • Participate in the store hiring process, including recruitment, selection, hiring recommendations, onboarding, and training.
  • Support team learning through direct feedback, in-the-moment recognition, coaching, demonstrations, and hands-on experiences related to role performance.
  • Contribute to a respectful and inclusive environment through supportive working relationships with team members.
  • When serving as Supervisor on Duty during store open hours, move dynamically and lead from the floor to provide technical product education and a world-class guest experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Some experience with inventory management, product or visual merchandising, stocking, or planning and logistics, including use of business technology to complete work.
  • Some experience leading, mentoring, delegating, or implementing processes with others.

Job Assets (Nice to Have)

  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, or above.
  • Experience: Retail, sales, distribution center, or warehouse operations related experience, including reviewing and interpreting business reports and metrics to guide action.
  • Experiential stores with food/beverage service: Food safety and/or liquor service certification.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Move through the store, including front of house areas with bright lights and loud music, and back of house areas with no windows or natural light.
  • Work as part of a team and at times independently, using a computer or other technical devices.
  • Occasionally move boxes weighing up to 30 lbs (13.6 kg) and use ladders to reach materials.
  • For experiential stores with food/beverage service only: may involve using industrial kitchen equipment and exposure to heat to prepare food or beverages.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly base pay: USD 23 to 28 per hour
  • Base pay range details: $23.00 to $26.50/hour (subject to minimum wage in the location)
  • Target bonus: $2.00/hour
  • Total target base pay range: $25.00 to $28.50/hour
