Job Description
UL Solutions is seeking a Product Operations Leader in Austin, TX (hybrid) to orchestrate operations across a multi-product global SaaS portfolio, serving as the connective tissue between Product Management, Business Leaders, Software Engineering, and GTM teams to deliver products consistently and efficiently using data-driven insights.
Responsibilities
- Establish scalable planning and execution cadences across product, engineering, sales, marketing, and finance teams.
- Ensure strategic decision points for direction, funding, and prioritization occur at the right time, not reactively.
- Create and embed lightweight intake and triage processes for new opportunities such as deal-driven requests and customer inputs.
- Improve clarity and consistency in how roadmap decisions are made and communicated.
- Partner with Product and Sales leadership to minimize escalation-driven prioritization.
- Align Product, Business, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Finance around shared priorities and timing.
- Enable predictable coordination of GTM activities, releases, and roadmap commitments.
- Serve as a neutral cross-functional orchestrator without formal authority.
- Act as a strategic partner to Business, Engineering, Design, Sales, GTM, Customer Success, and Support.
- Improve feedback loops from customers and internal stakeholders into product decisions and roadmap prioritization.
- Enable high-quality launches through strong coordination, readiness, and post-launch measurement.
- Define and operationalize product and business metrics, including OKRs, adoption, and outcomes.
- Build executive-ready dashboards and lead monthly and quarterly operating reviews.
- Ensure insights are used to inform decisions, not merely reported.
- Rationalize and optimize product tooling (Aha, Jira, Dovetail, analytics platforms).
- Balance speed versus governance to avoid unnecessary process overhead while ensuring quality and accountability.
- Drive consistency across global teams without diminishing autonomy.
- Coach product leaders on operating model, continuous improvement, and operational excellence best practices.
- Lead adoption of new ways of working, including pods and lifecycle improvements.
- Enable scaling across multiple products, teams, and geographies.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Product Operations, Product Management, or Business Operations within a SaaS or technology environment.
- Proven track record building Product Operations in a multi-product SaaS environment.
- Strong systems thinker and capable executor.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders without formal authority.
- Deep understanding of Agile, product lifecycle, and business planning.
- Success aligning disparate cross-functional priorities across Sales, Product, and Engineering.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Benefits

What Success Looks Like
- Product teams operate with clear priorities and fewer mid-cycle disruptions.
