Product Owner

The Product Owner at Restoration of America owns the end-to-end lifecycle of assigned applications and digital platforms, with a focus on delivering measurable value. This role coordinates requirements, user acceptance testing, quality validation, and ongoing distribution of digital content across two operational modes: In-Race and Regular Operations.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain product roadmaps, feature sets, and requirements aligned to business needs.
• Develop and gather business requirements for new and existing applications.
• Translate business requirements into detailed documentation that developers and AI-assisted coding tools can use.
• Prioritize and maintain the product backlog, coordinating with stakeholders to maintain clarity, alignment, and traceability.
• Plan and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) so end users validate functionality against requirements.
• Own the UAT tracking sheet and serve as the connection point between testers and developers.
• Collaborate with QA/testing resources to identify, track, and resolve defects to support high-quality releases.
• Monitor application performance, adoption, and issues; document and escalate risks or gaps proactively.
• Support timely, high-quality releases by ensuring requirements and acceptance criteria are met.
• Own or coordinate creation and maintenance of training materials, including FAQs and user guides, and facilitate training sessions when applicable.
• Act as a bridge between the data team and the voters during In-Race work, and generally connect business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership.
• Provide regular updates on product status, risks, and metrics.
• Support the Digital Platforms and Applications team in evolving SDLC practices to incorporate AI-driven development.
• Use the Product Portfolio to move the maximum number of votes during targeted races.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
• Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
• Strong presentation skills
• Ability to lead meetings, drive consensus, and resolve ambiguities
• 5 or more years working in an Agile software delivery team setting
• Proficient with reporting and visualizations
• Deep understanding of Scrum principles and how to apply them in a maturing, fast-paced environment
• Strong Scrum Agile background with 5 or more years in the Product Owner role
• Prior experience as a Scrum Master is a plus
• Agile or Project Management certifications preferred: PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, CSPO, etc.
