Reference Data Product Owner - Associate

Join the Reference Data team at JPMorganChase in Newark, DE (onsite), where you help shape how critical data products are built, delivered, and continuously optimized across the firm. In this role, you coordinate Agile delivery, align product direction to business outcomes, and partner with stakeholders to ensure reference data capabilities meet real user needs.

What you’ll do

• Collect and document detailed business requirements from stakeholders to support clear delivery goals.
• Facilitate User Acceptance Testing cycles by partnering with key stakeholders to validate requirements and help ensure quality deliverables.
• Articulate product vision and strategy in alignment with business goals and objectives.
• Organize and coordinate project activities and resources, including scheduling and control to keep work on track.
• Support users through training and ongoing help so people can effectively understand and use the data product.
• Identify issues and risks, define mitigation strategies, and manage risk communication or escalation as needed.
• Gather user feedback to improve product functionality and overall user experience.
• Manage multiple deliverables at the same time while delivering high-quality results within committed timeframes.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in product, financial services, technology, project management, or a related field.
• Ability to quickly learn and assimilate business and technical knowledge.
• Strong data analysis and visualization skillsets.
• Effective communication (verbal and written) for engaging business and technical stakeholders and management.
• Experience working on projects involving multiple stakeholders and technology within a financial domain.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to influence through partnership.
• Ability to operate in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.

Tools and technologies

You’ll work with JIRA, Confluence, Lucid, SQL, Microsoft suite of applications, Databricks, Tableau, Alteryx, and Python.

Helpful experience

• Agile project management experience, including familiarity with agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Lucid.
• Knowledge of JIRA, SQL, Microsoft tools, Databricks, and data visualization and analytical tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, and Python.
• Experience collaborating across functions and teams.
• Ability to streamline workflows to improve product efficiency.
