Job Description

Global Payment Holding Company offers a role built for experienced product leaders who want to shape product direction end to end. You will work in a hybrid environment in Charlotte, NC, with a competitive $120,000 to $140,000 annual salary and benefits designed to support long-term growth, learning, wellbeing, and recognition.

What you’ll own

As a Senior Product Manager, you provide direction for product development and oversee the broader product and services function. You will build and evolve products to meet business objectives and client needs, owning the product journey through launch, including roadmaps and go-to-market packaging.

Responsibilities

  • Define the approach and manage the process from product development through product launch, ensuring execution aligns with the project plan for the most complex, unique product initiatives.
  • For products with a distinct PNL, manage the product’s PNL to support profitability across product initiatives.
  • For the international segment, manage complex product initiatives that can have typical annual revenues of approximately $500k or more.
  • Own and manage product roadmaps for assigned products, collaborating with industry analysts to inform competitive analysis.
  • Partner with delivery, sales, and relationship management teams to determine prioritization, delivery costs, and market positioning based on investment themes.
  • Develop and lead go-to-market packaging for assigned products.
  • Collaborate with product marketing to develop product marketing strategies aligned with product objectives, costs, and value proposition.
  • Review research with product marketing to quantify the value proposition inputs to pricing analysis and marketing collateral.
  • Define pricing strategies for new and existing products using competitive pricing models, internal costs, value proposition metrics (such as savings to clients and process costs), and market acceptance and adoption rates.
  • Contribute to alternative pricing and business models, then present final pricing recommendations to executive management for adoption.
  • Develop comprehensive business cases using extensive analytical skills to translate complex data into unique concepts for new product functionality that supports decision-making, prioritization, pricing, and client value proposition.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with business leaders, sales, IT, legal, strategic marketing, and relationship management to define goals, objectives, market positioning, and pricing strategies for assigned products.
  • Operate independently with latitude in selecting methods and procedures for product strategy management.
  • Ensure a structured, repeatable process for market research, including industry publications, analyst research, experiential research, and client surveys.
  • Distill research data and maintain a strategic planning approach for summarizing and communicating insights that inform the strategic product roadmap.
  • Lead product concept and requirements workshops with clients and internal development teams to shape product requirements, objectives, and architecture decisions.
  • Ensure workshop outcomes are documented for consumption by all audiences, including interactive review and feedback from clients and internal parties.
  • Ensure questions are answered thoroughly, provide clarifications, and complete follow-up action items in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with product delivery and technology architecture to validate detailed design, ensuring objectives and key requirements meet market needs and align with the business unit strategy.
  • Provide design direction, testing support, and general assistance to the delivery team during execution for the most complex and unique product scopes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in similar business product services and/or external customer/market experience

  • Experience in a software development environment or in a professional services role
  • Preference for software or IT background (degree or experience)
  • Direct experience with software development, testing and/or business analysis
  • Experience with Agile software products and delivery methodology
