Senior Product Manager
Job Description
Watch Systems LLC is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own portfolio product execution in a hybrid setting in Mandeville, LA.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and communicate a clear, prioritized product roadmap across the full OffenderWatch portfolio: OWL (modern web platform), OW Express (remote registration), Public Portals, Booking Alerts, Mobile, and emerging AI modules
- Own a product portfolio that includes platform modernization and technical debt as first-class roadmap inputs
- Turn business strategy, customer feedback, and market intelligence into a coherent roadmap the organization can align around
- Balance near-term delivery with long-term strategic initiatives and make transparent tradeoff decisions with rationale
- Own the end-to-end requirements lifecycle from discovery through acceptance: user stories, functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and edge case documentation
- Run structured discovery sessions with customers, Law Enforcement Liaisons, and internal stakeholders before committing engineering resources
- Maintain a well-groomed, prioritized backlog that provides engineering with unambiguous direction to reduce delay and rework
- Lead launch planning beyond engineering delivery:
- Enable Sales positioning and materials
- Provide Customer Success adoption playbooks
- Prepare Support training and documentation
- Ensure Operations has implementation processes before release
- Define and own organizational-level “definition of done”, not only engineering-level criteria
- Conduct structured post-launch reviews to capture what worked, what did not, and what the next iteration should prioritize
- Implement and maintain a prioritization framework balancing customer commitments, strategy, technical debt, and regulatory requirements
- Facilitate product council or prioritization forums to give stakeholders a structured voice while avoiding committee gridlock
- Communicate roadmap decisions clearly, including what is not being prioritized and why
- Define and track success metrics beyond delivery velocity:
- Feature adoption rates
- Customer satisfaction impact
- Support ticket deflection
- Revenue contribution
- Use data to inform prioritization decisions using customer usage data, support trends, and commercial feedback
- Integrate Claude across the product management lifecycle:
- Synthesize agency feedback and support trends
- Draft PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Prepare release notes and launch materials
- Analyze usage and adoption data
- Build and maintain reusable Claude workflows, skills, and prompt standards connected to Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft 365
- Set human review standards for AI-assisted work so requirements, documentation, and customer-facing content are accurate before engineering or agencies
- Ensure AI use stays within CJIS Security Policy and company data-handling rules so criminal justice information and offender PII do not enter unapproved tools
- Measure the impact of AI-enabled workflows on cycle time, requirements quality, and rework
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience in a SaaS environment
- Proven experience managing a portfolio of multiple products/modules concurrently
- Proven ability to own and communicate a product roadmap in a resource-constrained environment where prioritization is difficult
- Strong requirements discipline: writing clear user stories, conducting effective discovery, and understanding why vague requirements become future defects
- Experience leading cross-functional launch readiness involving Sales, Customer Success, and Support
- Comfort operating where product management processes are still maturing, including the ability to improve PM practices without adding bureaucracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to create a crisp CEO one-pager and a detailed PRD for engineering
- Hands-on experience with generative AI tools such as Claude, with concrete examples of workflows that improved speed or quality
- Familiarity with compliance-driven product requirements including CJIS, FedRAMP, SOC 2, and ADA/accessibility, plus the ability to evaluate compliance impact before shipping
