Senior Product Manager, Data Platform
Job Description
A data platform oriented role focused on delivering product outcomes and guiding the full lifecycle to enable a strong digital experience for customers and internal partners.
Responsibilities
- Manages activities that drive product development and delivery at the team and department level, and across departments; serves as the dedicated owner of a set of related products, typically strategically or thematically related while working independently with limited oversight.
- Serves as subject matter expert on owned product area(s), related product area(s), and the department.
- Guides project vision; coordinates cross-functional teams of partners and suppliers.
- Explores and validates solutions with little pre-defined structure; makes independent decisions based on analysis, experience, and judgment.
- May mentor an individual or small team of product managers or business analysts in the related domain, based on business needs and/or product requirements.
- Collaborates with stakeholders across the company to understand and document business needs in an end-to-end manner.
- Builds and owns product roadmaps.
- Accesses and organizes data; builds analyses to understand the financial impact of business opportunities and proposed solutions.
- Works closely with business customers, product managers, design, and engineering partners to drive the entire technology product lifecycle.
- Manages relationships with key stakeholders to drive and enhance the product vision and strategy.
- Drives teams to demonstrate high velocity, efficiency, and morale; ensures the team consistently meets commitments.
- Adapts processes to maximize outcomes; identifies critical risks and dependencies; anticipates and resolves critical team issues with minimal escalation.
- Creates quantitative data analysis and modeling to inform outcomes; develops methods and metrics to identify product team successes and failures.
- May manage or supervise Product Managers.
Requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of voice of the customer techniques and product management tools (for example, JIRA and Confluence).
- Advanced analytical skills.
