Senior Product Manager, Enterprise Inventory Services
Job Description
Within Cox Automotive's Enterprise Inventory Services platform, this role focuses on shaping enterprise-ready inventory capabilities for a wide range of internal and external users. Based on site in Exton, PA, you will own discovery, strategy, specifications, backlog health, cross-functional alignment, adoption, and go-to-market plans to deliver measurable platform impact.
Responsibilities
- Lead problem discovery and strategy for your product area by engaging internal stakeholders (operations, support, business units) and external clients (dealers, integration partners) to identify and validate opportunities. Develop personas, map workflows, formulate hypotheses, and test them, grounding decisions in data, customer evidence, and competitive context.
- Draft discovery specs that clearly define audience, rationale, and solution, including measurable acceptance criteria and defined scope boundaries. Provide sufficient context for feasibility assessment and ensure the quality of work entering the development pipeline.
- Maintain a forward-looking pipeline of meaningful work for engineering teams, ensuring teams understand what comes next and why. Balance planning horizons to avoid waste in an AI-driven development environment while keeping enough runway to sustain momentum.
- Navigate a matrixed organization to build consensus by presenting evidence and clearly framed tradeoffs. Collaborate daily across product, UX, engineering, architecture, business leadership, and solution delivery, communicating headlines first and providing context second to enable decisive action.
- Define what complete adoption looks like for platform capabilities, craft rollout plans with implementation partners and operations, and track progress against measurable criteria. Treat internal customers with the same rigor as external ones.
- Surface status, risks, and wins proactively. Keep your manager and cross-functional partners informed at the appropriate cadence and level of detail. When an initiative is off track, present the issue along with a recommended path forward.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience in a related field; alternative combinations include master's degree with 4 years, PhD with up to 2 years, or 10 years of related experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software product management.
- Demonstrated end-to-end product discovery experience from problem identification to validated solution direction.
- Strong critical thinking to solve complex enterprise product problems and a willingness to challenge assumptions to achieve the best outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate customer problems and solution value and influence cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of modern product development practices and the ability to drive multi-team initiatives forward.
- Proficiency with AI tools integrated into product workflows.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with team members and customers.
- Experience with enterprise platform or capability products where customers are other products or technical teams is preferred.
Benefits
- Flexible paid vacation policy aligned with duties and company needs.
- Seven paid holidays each year.
- Up to 160 hours of paid wellness leave annually for personal or family wellness.
- Bereavement leave.
- Time off to vote.
- Jury duty leave.

Compensation
- Base salary range: USD 111,600.00 to 186,000.00 per year.
- The actual base pay may vary within this range based on location and the candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. The role may be eligible for additional compensation, including an incentive program.
