Senior Product Manager (Short Term Disability Product)
Job Description
Own EvolutionIQ’s Short Term Disability (STD) AI-first roadmap, partnering with data science, engineering, and enterprise carriers to turn product ideas into working prototypes.
Responsibilities
- Partner with data-science teams to quantify value and surface product opportunities
- Lead roadmap planning and execution for AI-first products across the STD product line
- Build and ship AI-first capabilities that guide and augment human decision-making in STD claims
- Collaborate with major insurance carrier stakeholders to identify problems, test concepts, and deliver measurable business outcomes
- Bring early product concepts to customers and use feedback to decide what to build next
- Coordinate with customer success, sales, and product marketing to support go-to-market strategy for new capabilities
- Write code and develop working prototypes alongside engineers, leveraging AI coding tools as a core workflow
- Define value propositions, adoption hypotheses, and kill criteria; apply discipline to stop work that is not landing
- Contribute to the strategic direction of STD products across the broader platform
Requirements
- 4+ years of product management experience in enterprise software or high-production SaaS
- Built something from nothing at least once, ideally in environments emphasizing velocity and scrappiness
- Strong product sense for the economic and workflow problems a specific buyer needs solved, from early exploration to a compelling prototype
- Deep experience in at least one complex, regulated vertical (examples: fintech, healthtech, legaltech, HCM, or similar)
- Technical capability to contribute directly to working software and build alongside engineers using AI coding tools
- Experience serving as a product leader on at least one AI-core product
- Practical AI tool usage daily in actual work (not novelty)
- Comfort collaborating across multiple disciplines and teams, leading initiatives across product, engineering, data science, and customer success
- Discipline around killing work that isn’t working
- 0-to-1 product building (from concept through market validation)
- Fast domain learning to turn new industry context into product insight
- Commercial instinct: ability to present to enterprise buyers and build an ROI-forward value proposition
- AI fluency: hands-on experience with AI-first product building and a realistic view of current capabilities and limits
- Experimentation discipline: define hypotheses, set kill criteria, test with real customers, and make clear-eyed go/no-go decisions

Location: New York, NY (onsite)
Compensation: USD 220,000 per yearly
Experience: 4+ years (Senior or Lead determined based on experience)
