Job Description

The Senior Product Manager - Technical role at Mastercard partners with product managers to translate customer and business needs into technical stories and features. You will shape the product backlog, support Agile execution, and help ensure delivery work is testable and shippable for development teams.

Location

O'Fallon, MO (onsite).
Pay range: $104,000 - $177,000 USD per year.

What You’ll Do

  • Meet with product managers to discuss and elicit needs, translating them into features, user stories, and technical stories.
  • Facilitate story mapping sessions to help product managers visualize and prioritize work.
  • Groom and prioritize the product backlog to ensure readiness for the development teams.
  • Facilitate backlog grooming sessions by clarifying the what and why of each user story, enabling the dev team to define the how.
  • Create features and stories aligned to product increments, with a focus on delivering work that is individually testable and shippable.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Experience as a business analyst managing work across multiple squads.
  • Extensive experience using Agile tools (JIRA, ALM, Kanban) to support Agile ceremonies.
  • Proven success in systems architecture or design, including managing complex projects, scoping multiple work streams, and working across multiple teams and geographies.
  • Relevant experience gathering requirements, including user story creation and relationship building with business clients.
  • Ability to collaborate with team members to ideate appropriate design solutions.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate vision and roadmap to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Consistent problem-solving mindset, including looking for potential solutions to solve problems.
  • Certified Product Owner (CPO).
  • Experience facilitating Agile workshops focused on feature definition and prioritization.
  • Experience using story mapping to define business value increments and break stories down to the smallest value increment.
  • Experience breaking stories down into 1-2 increments to support CI/CD principles.
